yeah his power looks amazing i seen him training with johnny nelson and johnny was well impressed.
but he has been stopped before so you would have to say his chin is questionable especially when he steps up in class.

Yea, he could have a few problems on the defensive side of things. But they can be corrected hopefully.

Cant comment on his chin, only seen him blast through a few guys!

Carl Froch is quite a good prospect who I think can do something at world level but there are a few excellent fighters at 168 right now so he should take his time and stop calling out the Calzaghe's of the world for now, I don't like his personality too much but that's got nothing to do with it(just had to say cos he seems a right twat!)given time and experience he will be a danger to anyone at the weight.
I wish he'd keep his left arm a bit higher though

theres plenty imo but ill split them a little into "contenders and prsopects" for me the guys being discussed are contenders , belt holders anf fringe world top ten in many cases

cook, enzo, barnes, pickering, arthur, jamie moore, froch, scott dann all brit / eurpopean champs so past the prospect stage i would say.

these guys should all be looking to secure a decent world title shot in the next 12-18 months

the prospects would be the guys like michael hunter, kevin mitchell, anderson, chas symonds, haye may just sneak in there as it was apparent he needs a bit more experience.

its not looking too bad though!

Yeah, Kevin Mitchell seems to be the brightest prospect of the current crop... We'll have to se him against someone fighting back before we know what he really has though.

yeah i think he looks good so far and he's got the pedigree aswell. :)
a british title shot at dazzo williams would be a good fight for him at this stage.

I just hope Foster gets brought up the proper way...British, Commonwealth, European and then WBC title...not the usual IBO, WBU and then WBO pap.

David Barnes is a great talent.

I wasnt that impressed until the Vincent fight, although many think Vincent won, i thought he looked a class above. Vicent used his strength well but Barnes was the more talented fighter.

Hopefuly we will see Barnes step it up again after a big win over Hare.

massive win over hare i didn't think he would win never mind stop him so early.
hopefully he can make some good progress in his next fights and show us all what he really has.
but he must fight vincent again if he wants the fans behind him!!

I have to say that I didn't think much of Barnes before the Hare fight.

But he really impressed me in beating him. I think a Vincent rematch is in order to clear up that unfinished business, and then a Khaliq fight should happen to sort out British supremacy.

With title unified, though, Barnes is really gonna have to work on getting a ranking by beating some tough world ranked opposition.

How about Cosme Rivera? Let's see if he can go one better than Hare and beat this kid! Isn't Rivera world ranked by the IBF?

jawaid must be looking for bigger fights than barnes!!
i think a euro title would be the best way to go,
that way barnes gets a world ranking and progresses enough to keep him sharp and build a good following.
the rivera fight would be good to watch but might a bit too early for barnes at this stage having seen what happened to hare.

How old is he?

I suppose he's got years to go yet, hasn't he?

Trouble is, Frank Warren doesn't like Euro titles much does he? He normally sticks them in for an IBO or WBF title instead.

This is all well and good, but the guys they fight are often unknown quantities, which means we get mismatches until they fight someone who turns out to be pretty damn good (like Hare with Rivera!)

At least with the European title you get quality fights against known quantities.

Love watching Alex Arthur. David Haye has been a class act and a good breath of fresh air. It's just a matter of time before he and Maccranelli are in the ring together and that would be something.

I think froch is the number one prospect but time will tell.

Barnes totally surprised me. He looked really good. Reminded me of a bigger version of Sharmba Mitchell wright down to the skirt thing he was wearing.
