View Full Version : Lennox Lewis Mobility ? . catskills23 03-13-2005, 06:08 PM What was lennox lewis mobility like when he was younger was he ever fast on his feet ? . AintGottaClue 03-13-2005, 06:26 PM o jesus, no lennox lewis could not dance on his feet liek holems or tyson or ali, u gonan amke this thread another 35 pager leff 03-13-2005, 06:44 PM He was a lot lighter and faster than he was than he retired, but i didnt mak him a better boxer just look at LL-Mccall. LL was much lighter on the feet back than. Hey catskill, do you have a foot fetish??? Kimmy 03-13-2005, 06:58 PM He was faster but he didn`t do very much with the speed. i think it was the Tony Tucker fight where Lewis did try and be light on his feet in the opening three rounds, he did perform rather well at times but he looked open and disjointed for the most part. It was when Lewis started training with Manny Steward when he put on more weight. Lewis was much more flat footed but it worked in his favour. I think the best performance mobility wise for lewis was the Golota fight. I realize Golota was there to be hit but Lewis was very good on the front foot and showed blinding hand speed in this fight. TyrantT316 03-13-2005, 07:31 PM o jesus, no lennox lewis could not dance on his feet liek holems or tyson or ali, u gonan amke this thread another 35 pager Tyson didn't dance on his feet Shaolin Bushido 03-13-2005, 08:25 PM The answer is NO. jack_the_rippuh 03-13-2005, 09:06 PM Did young Lennox Lewis have feet to be fleet-footed? czars_salad 03-13-2005, 09:17 PM i don't think lewis was that mobile as compare to other past champions in his division (ali, holmes, foreman) and i even think bowe was alot more graceful than him lewis, on his part, relied heavily on ring tactics (and sometimes dirty at that) and accuracy Truth 03-13-2005, 09:26 PM Did young Lennox Lewis have feet to be fleet-footed? AintGottaClue 03-13-2005, 10:41 PM guys stop replying lol o **** i just posted something >_< catskills23 03-14-2005, 11:25 AM Was lewis ever fast on his feet in his youth ? . Kid Achilles 03-14-2005, 12:11 PM No, never. His agility was never his strong suite. I'll admit that Lewis displayed pretty good handspeed for a 245 lber in some of his fights, but even at his quickest, he was much slower than Ali, Louis, Tyson, or Dempsey. The words quick or mobile do not come to mind when I think of Lennox Lewis at any stage of his career. oldgringo 03-14-2005, 12:17 PM OH ****. Now you just got the human thread bumper warmed up.
