View Full Version : I had a nightmare of Pacquiao-Morales
Tha Greatest 03-13-2005, 12:25 PM I was waitin for the fight
then the fight comes on
for some reason i wasn't really into the fight(thats why i call it a nightmare) in the beginning then in the 5th round,I see pacquiao gets tired and comes in the inside then morales keeps giving him left hoooks to the head then pacquiao drops, he crawls in the ring trying to get up, then he gets up and falls down again, then the ref waves his arms...
I want pacquiao to win VERY bad...And what happened in my dream will NOT happen...I was just telling you people so it dont come true :boxing: ...there's no way pacquiao will gas out by the 5th round
Kimmy 03-13-2005, 12:43 PM Well, we all remember that night don`t we when Pacquiao was battered by Medgoen Singsurat. We all knew from Pac mans defeat to Rustico Torrecampo about his chin, we knew but when Pac went down to Singsurat, the media had a field day.
Pacquiao has had a good run recently but don`t forget the weakness of his chin. He`s up against a puncher at super featherweight, Pac chins might be seen again as it was that night in the Singsurat. As much as you love Pacquiao, you can`t forget sept 1999 and what happens when you hit pac with a straight right!

Craig#1 03-13-2005, 01:35 PM im just gonna order it on ppv and watch it with my brother he thinks Morales is gonna win but i think Pacman is going to win so there could be a big of trouble here aswell. :boxing:

How can Morales hurt Pacquiao if he didnt even hurt Barrera in their third fight.
OliverNo1 03-13-2005, 02:21 PM How can Morales hurt Pacquiao if he didnt even hurt Barrera in their third fight.
Because Barrera has a better chin than Pac?
Out of ineterest i live in the UK and am desperate to watch the fight live - does anyone know the address of a PPV Broadband provider for the fight?
Kimmy 03-13-2005, 02:46 PM First off i watched the last 15 seconds of the fight but i wasn`t claiming to have reffenced the fight i was being scarcastic! My point was that Pac Man is not this invinible machine like so many are claiming he is.
It reminds me of Junior Jones. Jones beat Barrera twice but had been knocked down frequently and stopped twice before. People seemed to forget this and instead ranked Junior Jones in the pound for pound top ten. First fight after his Barrera fights he is Knocked out by Kennedy McKinney. Then he decides to fight Morales and is again knocked out.
I just think Pac is an accident waiting to happen, the past will be re - visiting!
Tha Greatest 03-13-2005, 02:50 PM Pacquiao will knock him OUT

He is anything but too conditioned for Morales.
Morales trains at 12,000 feet runs 6.8 miles a day, There is a reason he's never been legitimately down.
Pacman just like any fighter gets winded in a tough fight just like he did against Marquez.

LOLOL You're funny your going by the same logic as Barrea beat Morales so Pac will beat Morales cuz Pac beat Barrera. When that logic is applied people like you laugh and say styles make fights. And there you go using it yourself Pfffffffff
And no you didn't sound sarcastic

Theres a very good number something lie 25 thousand or something. In my local bar, there are tons of flips rooting for Pac everytme he fights. The crowd is amazing. But there's a lot of flips EVERYWHERE. I'm amazed to hear some places you find us. Italy, Amsterdam, France, thers always a filipino community.
Kimmy 03-13-2005, 03:19 PM The only logic applied to this fight is that whomever HBO want to win will win, bottom line.
I personally feel HBO should make this fight a draw like they did with Holyfield Lewis because a loss on either of the fighters record wouldn`t do them any good. A draw either way works.
And it isn`t about Pac beating Barrera, and Barrera beating Morales. Its about who HBO want to win, its always about that. I think if i were HBO id arrange a draw then you could rematch them, or put either against Barrera without damaging their chances of securing a good cut of the upcoming fight!

You seem to be mighty unsure on what you're trying to convey....
I was waitin for the fight

....I'm not really a Pac fan, but I will be rooting for him. Morales seems like a dickhead to me and I don't care for that constant ****ty(trying to be a tough guy) look on his face. However, I had a similar dream with Pacman getting knocked out in spectacular fashion and it seemd all too real. I mentioned it in a thread earlier this week.
Kimmy 03-13-2005, 03:43 PM You seem to be mighty unsure on what you're trying to convey
What i`m trying to convey is that if the fight goes the distance it would be to HBO`s benefit for the fight to be ruled a draw. However, if Morales lands with a big shot it may not go the distance! But the likely hood is it will and my prediction stands, it will be a draw. and pac man is a modern day Junior Jones! re - surgence of a fighter who was KO`ed several times in the past, thats all!
HayeFan 03-13-2005, 03:49 PM Wow, Kimmy's getting shot to pieces.

Kimmy, you are 100% correct, don't listen to CarlThompsonFan or anybody else, you obviously understand the political and business aspects of boxing, all of the phony baloney's from overseas JUST DON'T GET IT.

You know fully well that's not what you meant and you're trying to cover it up. Anyweyz, you got your opinions (even though they contradict each other) so I'll respect that. Here's for a great fight in 7 days :boxing:

Relative to other big towns in Northern Cali, yes, SacTown is pretty dull, but I'm from the wine valley of Napa so any town with more than 3 bars is entertaining enough for me!

Ultimate-The city aint dead, if you know people it's cool. Not the greatest place to live but if u know ppl it's cool
It gets hella ****IN hot
I'm moving down to Detroit next year for a few years, then i'm gonna go to LA, now that's the place to be
Kimmy 03-13-2005, 05:12 PM Unfortunately I am at University so i am gonna have to depend on a thread on this site on fight night. It will be a good fight i believe, but two things bother me about it.
1. There is no title involved and yes i know people will say belts are meaningless but when one looks back in history and sees on titles at stake it kinda takes away from the fight.
2. Morales coming off a convincing defeat. I have watched that Third Barrera fight about 4 times and everytime i had Morales losing, by at least 2 rounds. I know that styles make fights and all but i can`t really get up for the fight cos Morales is coming off a loss.
Anyhow, it will be good non the less!
HayeFan 03-13-2005, 05:23 PM Well if anybody's a qualified judge of mediocrity, it would be somebody who roots for Carl...I mean David Haye
How could i charge Thompson or Haye with mediocrity? The fact that I'm a 'FAN' means that I don't view them as being mediocre. You've gone from mediocre to dumb in the space of one post. Way to go.
What you should have said was: How can you judge my mediocrity when you support mediocre (in Sac's opinion) fighters?
