Okay I got the Miami Vice Season 1 DVDs from Netflix and damn I'm in love with that show.
They're coming out with the movie next year and Michael Mann is actually directing! I'm pissed with the casting of Jamie Foxx as Tubbs though. Foxx is a good enough actor, but he's not right to play Tubbs. Ricardo Tubbs, if you can't tell from the name, is supposed to be part puerto rican...uhh...Jamie Foxx has ZERO puerto rican look about him. He's too dark to play the part. Also, women don't think Foxx is that attractive so they should get an attractive man because women liked Phillip Michael Thomas.
Colin Ferrel is set to play Crockett. Really I'm not thrilled about that casting, but I can live with it and I'm sure he'll do fine.
They can do really amazing things with makeup. Don Johnson doesn't look THAT much older. They should just have him and Thomas play their characters. Not like they'll have to do their own stunts or anything.
