If so, who can make the shortest possible connection between two of the greatest white punchers of the 20th century: Jack Dempsey and Gerry Cooney?
(you know: Dempsey fought A, who fought B...... who fought X, who fought Cooney).

Guess you could drop Archie Moore if you want to use the computer fight between Ali and Marciano but i'd be very impressed if there are less steps than I took.

Most people would say like you, that 6 names are needed... but you can actually make the connection using only 5. Honest!

Bundana 09-24-2009, 05:25 AM When I started this thread, I figured there would be hundreds of real historians out there, who would enjoy a good trivia question.
And sure enough; within an hour GJC weighed in with a 6-man solution to the Dempsey - Cooney "brain teaser". But since then... nothing!
To help things along, I'll give you a clue: None (not a single one!) of the 6 names suggested by GJC are to be found in the correct 5-man solution.
Hope this gives someone a good idea.

as soon as you said that none of them were right and i started from scratch took me about 5 mins.

yeah johnson was hidden in their, i pretty much just went through and checked each link looking for some one that fought well past the guy i was looking at. i got jhonson then the first link on his was herschel.
