Would you guys like to see Oscar take on the young talented boxers at 147 or continue to fight the marquee names between 154-160

I would love to see Oscar fighting at 147lbs. Imagine it. Oscar was able to hang with the bigger guys at 154lbs but never seemed to have the same effectiveness that he had at 147lbs. Imagine the great fights we could get. Oscar Margarito sounds great, Spinks would be a great tactical fight. Cintron could even be a good fight for him.

Then you have the guys that will move up. Cotto has to move up because he is just to big to stay at 140lbs for long, how is that for a good one. Then there would be the ultimate. If Oscar moved up it might, just might, set up my dream fight....DLH vs KT. Both guys could prove just who is the best JrWW/WW of this era. It would take alot to make this happen, but imagine the options. I would like to see Mosely in the mix also.

Tito, Winky, Shane and Ouma....

Why?

Cuz he needs to be convinced to retire.

Are you just playing pretend? Oscar isn't coming back down to 147 he couldn't make that weight at this point in his career. Even if he could, he'd have No power from making the weight.

Lets get back to reality, who is there at 154 or 160 that could possibly motivate Oscar into fighting again? No one. Ride off into the sunset and let us remember you as the warrior you were.

I dont think 147 would be a problem at all for DLH

You said the same thing about Hopkins too.

Hopkins never fought at 147lbs, his first fight was at 175lbs....he moved down to 160lbs and stayed there.

Of course DLH could make 147lbs...he weighed only 155lbs fighting Hopkins. You think 7 pounds is going to be that difficult? He started out at 130lbs. He had to bulk up to make 154lbs.

Going down to 147lbs will decrease his power????????? You make no sense at all. DLH didn't carry his power up, as do most fighters that move up.

Winky, Tito & Mosley, respectively.

This fights would really make Oscar one of the best if not the best fighter. Specially if he'll win convincingly.

judah and especially margarito could KO oscar ..so i say 147 wouldnt be to bad..lets get it on :D

i hope DLH gets ko'ed again..and i have a feeling he will..he's going down to fight boxers he has only seen..it aint the same divison it was before..judah is fast and has power...spinks is harder to catch then a shooting start and margarito is like fighting something thats has 4 hands(comes out of no where) and attacks every second of a fight

winky would be the only good fight at 154 or above...cuz tito would hand oscar his ass if they fought at MW..so oscar would only have a shot at beating winky

If oscar could make 147 safely, then i think it is the bet move. When sugar Ray Robinson went to light heavyweight and was stopped in his fight with, I think a guy called Joe maxim, or something, anyway, he went back down to middleweight and won the title again. No one thought any worse of him because it was his best and natural fighting weight. If Oscar and make 147 ok, then why not? He might get the Jr welters to come up for the fights and make allot of money and perhaps get some decent wins. Why should a guy who was 130lbs when he started have to keep going up in weight or stay at a weight. Hell, the guy is a small middle so why do it, he should return to Welterweight where he was brillant!

Oscar can put a stop, if he really wishes, to all the talk that he is avoiding Winky. They should get it on!

And a rematch with Tito will be something that could make me work hard to re-arrange my schedule. Won't miss it! :)

STURM and HOPKINS did DE LA HOYA justice...de la hoya will love how easy it is to fight spinks ..instead of hopkins

I would rather see DLH fight the bigger guys. The way i see it he is 1 and 1 with shane. He needs to fight trinidad so there gonna both have to stop complaining about who gets more money. And winky is the man at 154. Ouma I think alot of people are ignoring him the same way the did winky but once he gets into the mix he will be more of a household name.

Oscar was always at his best at 147, and if he wants to establish a legacy at any particular weight, it would have to be at welter.

Besides, those fights at 147 are very intriguing indeed. DLH versus Judah is very promising.
