Squirrel 09-23-2009, 11:22 AM Exhaling during the movement causes it to be more powerful and completed faster. also, any counters will be taken while you are tense, reducing damage, keeping you more balanced and meaning you wont be winded. Pretty simple really ... TheNegation 09-23-2009, 12:46 PM Breathing. How the hell do you not know that? More importantly have you tried to fight without breating? Try doing some rounds on a heavy bag without exhaling after every punch and see how tired it makes you. Akucapri 09-23-2009, 12:48 PM Sound effects, what else? Sport Science actually had an experiment with Rampage Jackson and they showed they he hit with more force when breathing like that and/or yelling when he would punched! Spartacus Sully 09-23-2009, 03:02 PM theres less air in your body so you weigh less sweet*science 09-23-2009, 03:49 PM You are suppose to exhale when throwing a punch to tighten your muscles. Prepares your body for the impact of a counter shot, plus punching without breathing makes you tired quicker. kingzoti 09-23-2009, 05:46 PM dumbasses proper exhalation flexes the stomach muscles for extra power.... nystate0fm1nd 09-23-2009, 06:14 PM It's because muscles require oxygen just like everything else in our bodies. If we aren't supplying it, they will fatigue and then you are f*cked. y thats right, i am also wondering why you don't know this after 1k posts^^ You shouldn't be surprised. 95% (if not more) of the people on these forums have never stepped into a ring in their lives and don't know jack **** about boxing. letsgobrady 09-23-2009, 06:15 PM fighters like roy jones jr and mayweather jr are easily noticed doing that. can some1 explain to me the science behind it most trainers tell you to exhale every time you punch FIGHTING_FLIP 09-23-2009, 11:18 PM i hate when fighters scream when they punch. especially when i see it in the gym. f uckin annoying..my quote is "a lion while hunting doesnt roar." i mean of course ill make the breathe sound. but the whole yelling bullsiht is doin to much mannyman 09-24-2009, 04:13 PM They're breathing out but tbh in any form of exercise you breath out on the effort i.e a punch |
