These two divisions are really hotting up right now. I'd love to see Vasquez-John and Gamboa-Luevano, with the two winners meeting. In the meantime, Juanma could face Caballero, with the winner stepping up. As there is zero chance of that happening, all we can do is speculate...

Chris John 43-0-2

Longtime WBA champion at FW, holds a decision win over JMM and recently beat Rocky Juarez.

Steven Luevano 37-1-1

WBO FW champ since 2007, undefeated since 2005. Drew with Santiago a year ago, where he seemed to struggle badly for several rounds. Probably the most skillful boxer around his weight, but doesn't have as much power as the others on the list.

Mario Santiago 20-1

Not a great deal on his resume to suggest that he's superior to the rest of the list, but I think he should've gotten a rematch with Luevano before now.

Yuriokris Gamboa 15-0

WBA FW champ. Fast, powerful, but defensively flawed enough to have been dropped several times in his short career. Won a gold medal in 2004.

Juanma Lopez 26-0

WBO BW champ. KTFO everyone he's faced in the last few years. Recent opposition hasn't been great but he's clearly a big talent.

Celestino Caballero 33-2

Fights at SBW, despite being taller than Valuev. Holds two belts. Is going all out to get a fight with Juanma. Seems a bit inconsistent.

Israel Vaquez 43-4

Has been inactive for a while and may not be the boxer he once was, but at the time of his last fight he was considered one of the top boxers in the world.

Rafael Marquez 38-5

Same situation as Vasquez, although he had a fight in May.

Bernard Dunne 28-1

WBA champ at SBW. Won the title earlier this year in a FOTY candidate, beating Cordoba (who holds a win over Caballero). Seems to be a bit chinny.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned featherweight in the thread title and several times in the opening post...
