I wonder whether i`m the only one who sees this taking place. See, HBO is being very unreasonable to Chris Byrd. See, Byrd is the champion and Klitscko isn`t his mandatory. So HBO insist on Wlad as an opponent in GERMANY when Byrd has already stated that he didn`t want to fight there after the events of his last fight he fought there ( Klitscko, W ).
What i see is HBO trying to some how get a title for Klitscko the safest possible way. Wlad doesn`t deserve a title match in the first place. He was luckly to win his last fight and couldn`t be a successful WBO champ. Only because Byrd can`t punch and Wlad hs proven he can out box him is HBO hassling Byrd. They want another white heavyweight champion because it sells in this day and age because its something uncommon.
It`s not fair on Byrd since Wlad is not the mandatory and hardly lighting up the division with his recent performances.
I think they are bullying him and i HOPE Wlad doesn`t get this figh. He doesn`t deserve it and it is not fair for Wlad to get a title match because of his box office appeal!

Byrd has no draw anywhere though, and he also turned down $2.5 million to fight Wlad in the U.S. Apparently Wlad vs. Lyakhovich is an IBF heavyweight title eliminator, so whoever wins will become Byrd's mandatory. What will the excuses be then?

Wlad is getting Evander Holyfield type title shots. He needs to earn it back. I think a fight with Lyakhovich is necceseary to make Wlad a worthy challenger again.

If the fight was a mndatory Byrd would get 75% of the purse and probably make more money. However, the Germans wil bid high for the fight to take place Germany so i think Byrd`s only option in a mandatory situation would be to lose in Germany while getting paid well for losing! Still, Wlad does not deserve his oportunities!
