SacTown1 03-11-2005, 10:48 PM I never really believed in the EA jinx when it haunted NFL players like Marshall Faulk, Daunte Culpepper, and Eddie George. Frankly, I just thought all of those guys were over-rated.
But last year, the EA jinx caught up to Roy Jones, and I became a believer. After being on the cover of Fight Night 2004, Roy got KO'd in back to back fights.
Bernard is this year's cover boy, will the EA jinx strike again?
I'll tell you what, if his next fight is vs. Jermain Taylor, I'm betting the mortgage on Bad Intentions to break down the X-man

manila_assasin 03-11-2005, 10:51 PM I think the curse was reversed since after the eastman fight? But anyways if anything it's probably because b-hop is already 40 yrs old. I noticed his signs of slowing down during his last fight. (Or is it just his tactic?)

Nah Hopkins is special in Gods heart, its the other man that is on the fight night round 2 cover that will get struck....If you dont know Ricky Hatton is on the UK version of the game and he is facing Tszyu...OUCH.

I wasn't aware of that, geez Hatton's got enough going against him in that fight, he's too slow and too soft and now he's got a jinx to work thru, there will be much tear-shed in Manchester this Summer

The Eastman fight doesn't count because Hopkins fought him prior to the game being released. B Hop better retire right now. Jones showed it doesn't matter if you even fight a ****ty journeyman you can fall victim to the curse.
Let's hope Hatton does fall victim to the Spinksjinx curse. Spinks did...nah he really lost the first fight against Zab too but yeah.

On all the uk websites and advertising in uk mags Hattons on, in the game shops etc. I've just ordered my copy from play.com (UK) check it out he's the UK coverboy :mad:

Marjoh 03-13-2005, 01:48 PM Yeah, that cover is for real. And I agree, Hatton hasn't done anything huge to be the cover boy. But I guess if he's really huge in that territory and could sell copies, then business is business.

masterdirector 03-17-2005, 09:09 PM well come on, Hatton has only had 35 ****ing fights man and he's only 26. Some would say okay that's his prime but no, it isn't. Hatton is too inexperienced to get in there with anybody good. that's why he kept fighting all Mitchell's victims.
heh nah Hatton just ****ing sucks. All he has is aggression and a chin.
