Post stuff about people who are made to be greater than they are, and overblown beliefs that people have...
Here are a few to start off:
Frauds --
Lance Armstrong. Races like one race a year, so of course he wins it. Can you imagine if an NFL player trained all year just to play in the SuperBowl? Everyone else is tired and banged up by the time they get to the Tour de France. Oh, and he takes steroids. It's a well-known fact that he used them to regain his strength after cancer. We're demonizing everyone else in the world whose used steroids, why not him?
Brett Favre. 2-5 in the playoffs since 1998. One of the greatest QBs ever? Why would that be? His stats are okay, but he's played on a team that's provided him with decent receivers and an o-line his entire career. 1-1 in the SuperBowl and hasn't been able to lead his team back since despite playing in maybe the worst division in football and the worst conference for the last several years. Plus you say he's a saint? He's a workoholic who puts nothing ahead of playing foorball. Now coming back one more year because his wife is "better". Got news for you guy, nobody ever gets "better" from cancer, it's a lifelong struggle. Should step down and make room for his successor. Hasn't let anyone else play more than a down or two in dozen years so Green Bay with have nobody to replace him. Selfish, selfish, selfish.
Myths --
Flu epidemics. People say that the 1918 flu epidemic killed millions of people. Wrong. These people died of other killer diseases like TB. The flu only weakened them. People died all the time of illnesses back then that we can treat of prevent now. The flu, if anything only weakened them. People says SARS is a killer flu. Wrong. SARS killed a few dozen people who were in the mid-80s. A regular flu could have killed them. People say the flu shot will protect from the killer flus. Wrong. The flu shot protects you for three or four already known non-lethal flus.
