What is your prediction for this fight? I'm going to say Margarito by tko 10.

Cintron is a helluva fighter with good speed and power. Yet i doubt he will discourage the ever persistent Anotnio Margarito. Margarito has been in a lot of wars, has lost, and has faced adversity. To my recollection Cintron has been adversity free and it will be interesting to see how he reacts to AM's pressure. Great fight, and i can't wait. PR vs MEX one more time!!!

Margarito by one sided blistered late KO. Cintron gasses out to easily his stamina is weak and his chin hasnt ever been tested. Margarito will press the action and take him in the late rounds. Cintron might land some hard shots but it wont be nothing Margarito cant handle.

If Cintron tries to go to war, I am heavily favoring Margarito.

Margarito will win by ko within 8rounds.His big blow lands Cintron's tin

I like Cintron by 4th or 5th round KO. Daniel Santos almost KO'd Margarito in their last fight and had him hurt 4 or 5 times but couldn't finish him. I think Cintron hits harder than Santos.

Margarito by mid-late KO or extremely lopsided decision. Cintron has NOTHING for Margarito...except for a big punch, which will look rather meek with Margaritos chin.

The only reason Santos' punches had any effect of MArgarito is because he came in like a big super middle. I don't think Antonio will expose himself to much punishment against Cintron.

I like Margarito by early stoppage. He is going to land flush, straight punches on Cintron, hitting the rookie like he has never been. Margarito T.K.O. 3

....Finally someone who makes sense. Cintron is underated by some of you guys and I expect him to win that fight handily.

he would not be so "Underrated" if he was fighting real boxers.

He might as well be fighting:

Thrift shop security, and kids that work at Church's Chicken.

That's exactly what's going to happen. Cintron is going to run out of steam just like he did when he pulled that win over Teddy Reid in the 8th. Even though I'm not 100% sure on Maragrito's chin, I'd still go for Margarito.

Cintron KO 10th RD :D

Cintron would be hunched over in a corner, hooked up to an oxygen machine by the 10th round. Theres no way he lasts more than 8 with a guy who has the workrate and conditioning of Margarito. Unless there's something that you PR fellas aren't tellin me. :D

Margarito by decision. Both are there to be hit but I think Margarito will outwork Cintron throughout the fight. It took Cintron 8 rounds to take out china chin Reid so I expect the chin of Margarito to hold up.

Margarito by late TKO.

Margarito is too well conditioned for the fight to end early and the long fight will definitely favor Margarito as he will carry a fast pace and cintron has been known to run out of gas.

WHAT??? Did you even see that fight?

If there's one who almost get Kayoed is Santos, who was extremely lucky that the fight ended prematurely, and that it was taking place in P.R. Anywhere else and the decision goes to Margarito.

Did I see that fight? Of course I did. I don't remember the rounds, but Margarito was really hurt and Santos let him off the hook. It was at least 4 times. BTW, I had Santos ahead by one point at time of stoppage and I think I scored it fairly. My friend, who watched it with me, is a huge Margarito fan and he had it for Margarito by one point. It could've gone either way.

Also, yes, Santos was hurt in the 4th, I believe it was, but he also was able to recoup and keep fighting. Santos was only hurt once, tho, and Margarito was hurt numerous times.

Margarito failed to beat Santos, Santos was trading with him like he didnt care about Margarito's power, expect Cintron to KO him late, even without gas in his tank, he will get in his shot on the beaten bruised Margarito to KHTFO, quote me on this mannn.

Oh by the way, where is this fight taking place?

MArgarito doesn't have devastating power or anything...he wears you down with his workrate and beats you to a pulp in the end of the fight. Santos was extremely lucky that the fight didn't go the full 12...he was on his way to being knocked out or losing a decision while taking a beating. Cintron has as much stamina as Uncle Phil on the Fresh Prince of Bel Aire.

I disagree, Margarito has enough to stay tight to gas him out and then he will take over.

It's at caesars palace by the way.

santos was ready to go at one point man, he didnt hurt margarito badly at all, santos had spaghetti legs when margarito would hit him flush, your crazy

cintron might win the early rounds, although i doubt it, marga is a huge step up in class for him...the late rounds of this fight will be ugly, lots of blood, cuts, ears hangin off...marga will take over somewhere around the 5 or 6 round slowly applying more and more pressure, by the 11th and 12th it'll be a beatdown. cintron gets ****ed up, he has no idea what kind of an animal margarito becomes in the late rounds

BrooklynBomber
03-11-2005, 09:32 PM
Gotta go with Marga. He got stamina, pretty good power, chin and skills.
Cintron on the other hand got very good power(not devastating though), absolute lack of stamina, weak defense and questionable
chin. Also Margarito faced much better comp and adversity while Cintron did not.
So I predict Margarito by late round ko/tko or pretty lopsided UD

A lot of people are forgetting that Santos was Margaritos first fight at 154 and has since dropped back down to 147. 154 obviously wasnt where he was supposed to be and before anybody who says that Cintron is the size of a 154-160 pounder, while that may be true. It certainly wont be a factor in this fight. Santos boxed Margarito does anybody really expect Cintron and Margarito to be a boxing match from both sides of the table? I dont...The Santos fight was so ugly from both fighters, Id like to forget it happened.

Margarito vs Cintron-War with the better man taking over at the end...That man will be Margarito due to experience/stamina
