bigdlb12 03-10-2005, 12:24 PM Has anyone seen this movie?
Scary stuff man. I know people have a choice on where to go to eat,but when both parties work and there is little time to make dinner, I guess most families go out to fast food places.
What are you all thoughts on this?

def some **** to think about
but like u said
it all falls onto our own shoulders
u either go eat somewhere or not
i dont care if they spent millions to get your attention
you shouldve resited
the funny **** was the school lunches
those people also make food for prisons
Explosivo 03-10-2005, 12:35 PM I saw that movie.
It made a good point, but the guy didnt have to have the ****ing double QP w/cheese for every meal. Part of the rules was that he had to have everything on the menu at least once, and he could only eat McDonalds food. If he wouldnt have ordered the fattiest thing on the menu every day he wouldnt have gotten so fat. I think he fixed it to have dramatic results.
I read something about a college professor who went on an all McDonalds diet to show his students that it is possible to loose weight from McDonalds too. In the article it said that he has already lost 15 lbs and has lowered his cholestorol. The difference between what he did ad the guy from SuperSize Me, if excersise. Professor excersises for like an hour or 2 a day and has lost weight even though all he eats is McDonalds.
bigdlb12 03-10-2005, 12:39 PM yeah and how McDonlads only has 7 items that contain no sugar, Nuggets,Hashbrowns, fries, water, diet coke, tea, coffe
that guy gain 25.5 lbs in 30 days and took in over 25 pounds of sugar and was dying slowly

lifes all about choices
and McDonalds is just offering a choice to eat their
spinksjinx 03-10-2005, 12:54 PM The reason he consistantly ate the hamburgers was that he had to everything on the menu at least once. In which he did, even the doctor said he could cheat and order the salads. But the point of him eating the burgers was that after completing the menu, he would stick to the most popular foods. That is what he was doing, Their are thousands of people a day who eat a big mac atleast once a day and that is what he was trying to prove, the effects of eating what millions of people do on a daily basis.

My point is that he got the double QP with cheese COMBO all the time. He could have gotten the cheeseburger meal, or the regular QP with cheese. The guy, rather than just trying to survive off McDonalds for 30 days, gorged himself on McDonalds for 30 days.

Their are people doing what he did for 30 days that they do for a lifetime.
My coworker spends 250 dollars a week on fast food, He eats Burger King for breakfast pizza/chinese buffet for lunch and for dinner he will either eat KFC or Rallys.
I know plenty of people who do this and A LOT of high school kids are doing it as well.
Of course he is out to make it look like a big thing and go all out, but in reality if you look around a large portion of individuals do what he did. If you live in the U.S. I would guarantee you that you could step outside and the first 5 people atleast 2 out 3 would be grossly overweight.
bigdlb12 03-10-2005, 01:23 PM whats sad about it is that our small and kiddie size drinks here are reg and large in other countries

Something worst is that children are not ordering Happy Meals anymore, instead they want and can handle the big combos like their parents.
A thing I found odd is that they stated Super Size was no longer available, thats bull a Mcdonalds has a super size me banner outside in my town.
bigdlb12 03-10-2005, 02:18 PM and notice that Texas one state that has 5 of the top 15 fattest cities in America El paso, My hometown Dallas, Austin,San Antonio and Houston, the fattest and we not only have the super size here we also have the McGridle

The Mcgriddle is a masterpiece, I havent ate Mcdonalds in about a year but if I were to that is what I would eat. Those things are damn good, ever try one?

no I havent, I heard that it has as much fat as a big mac and more calories, but I might get brave one day and try one
BadMagick 03-10-2005, 04:21 PM He goes a bit overboard with it, but that's the whole point of it.
I was talking to someone about this movie, and they said it was just a bull**** thing, and that eating anything the way he did would make you gain weight. What they fail to realize is that his liver was failing, as if he had been drinking alcohol, his cholestorol sky-rocketed, along with everything else in his body.
Clearly, not many people will eat until they vomit, but some people do eat that crap 3 times a day, every day. Some people also feel weak if they can't finish what they've ordered, and nearly force themselves to finish the food they got.
I'm not saying McDonald's is to blame, but people should be more aware of the food they are eating there, and what it can do to them. I'm also fairly certain that any of the fast-food chains would do the same thing to the body.
Also, to whoever was talking about the professor, and how he exercises along with the diet: the fact is that not many people in the US exercise. Everyone is looking for the miracle cure, so to speak, to lose weight, and keep it off, rather than just working out for 20-30 minutes a day. Everyone has 20-30 minutes, and even with kids, they can find it. Hell, they could make a family thing out of it, and go jogging, or something with the whole family.
That was the whole point of the documentary, though, was to show the most extreme situation of McDonald's eaters. He even says that his example is a bit extreme.
Prostitroop 03-10-2005, 04:47 PM Something worst is that children are not ordering Happy Meals anymore, instead they want and can handle the big combos like their parents.
Not only that, kids now have the choice to upgrade their happy meals. McDonalds called it the "Big Kids Meal" and Burger King calls it the "Mighty Kids Meal", which includes a bigger drink, bigger fries, more nuggets etc... I've also noticed that if you order a regular chicken nuggets happy meal, you now have the choice of 4 piece or 6 piece nuggets.

Another reason that Texas has more fat cities than any other state is because lack of exercise. New York, for example, people are always walking. They walk to the Subway, they walk to work, etc... And since New York is so congested, alot of people don't have cars. People ride bikes as an alternative or just walk.
Hell, here in Texas people jump into their cars and drive across the street to their nearby grocery store, when they can get there on foot in 3 minutes. It's ridiculous

Especially those ****ers! There's a reason they work at call centers... You can't see them. But anyway, I drive to the 7-11 across the street during breaks.
By the way, how's the STIP ****er?
Dr.Depravity 03-10-2005, 11:15 PM I dont see the point of these films. To get a rise out of McDonalds? To educate the public? I dont get it. I dont need to see some clown eat a **** load of greasy hamburgers to know that hey, it may not be good for me. Im so glad we have all these people looking out for us, oh what would we do without them.

Those goldbricking ****ers. :D Lynch before the game started said that the Rams would play real hard for the new coach..just like Miami did for Saben. The Snake better improve his game considerably or he's going to have to slither his ass to the bench. Oh a Cutler avatar would kick ass bye the way. :D

You can never tell on the first game. Denver was in the AFC Chapionship last year right?

Yep. Seems like in the opener they need a wake up call. Of course 5 freaking turnovers dont help. The Defense sounds like they were good at keeping the Rams out of the endzone. So thats promissing. Plummer had 3 pics and a fumble.
