this is dope. i havnt heard it all yet
KILLA RIGHT 09-17-2009, 11:01 PM Solid track i think he's going to drop a 3 mic album and imo he has never dropped one less then 4
MegStarr* 09-21-2009, 01:03 AM this is the weakest track i've heard off of this album so far.
in my opinion.
i have super high hopes for it at a whole though.
Truth 09-21-2009, 07:00 PM bump........
Truth 09-21-2009, 07:23 PM Early ReviewI dont like this. just being honest. i like ghostface of course, i'm a huge wu-tang fan, but this is kind of weak to me. i respect him 100% for trying something new, but I'd rate this 2.5-3/5 for me. I will say this, if your into love rap songs for a whole album, maybe you'd love this. ghost's flow is on point, so is his storytelling etc. but i'm not into that style for an entire album.
*theres a few songs i thought were alright
Truth 09-21-2009, 07:27 PM ^although you never know, maybe it will grow on me. but i doubt it from hearing it once...u never know though
Grand Champ 09-21-2009, 07:42 PM It's chilled. I don't mind it. Some classy **** once and awhile is okey. Just hoping he'll go old school too.

lol. classy? not sure i'd call it that. But i do give him alot of credit for trying something new. my problem is, he rapped about relationships for an entire album. now if your into R&B you might love it! different strokes for different folks.

That might be it. I enjoy chilling to some R&B once and a while
Truth 09-21-2009, 08:10 PM so do i, like if it was maybe 3-4 songs on an otherwise normal ghostface album :D
dont get me wrong, i like some rap love songs. like bonnie and shyne for example

The Fix 09-21-2009, 09:01 PM ^indeed, sons.
thanks.
Floyd Sinclair 09-22-2009, 11:28 AM aside from ob4cl2, this might be the best album thats dropped this year...its up there with relapse for 2nd best album of the year.
And dont get it twisted, theres alotta cds that i like more then relapse but the production was good on that album and em showed that hes still very skilled throughout the cd.
Im shocked at how well ghost pulled this album off, but i guess i shouldnt be. His flow is really slept on by many, he can do so many different things with it. Theres not a rapper out right now that can **** with ghosts storytellin...this is a real good cd from beginning to end. With the exception of stapleton sex, ghost showed a more mature and grown up side. He proved he can make a cd thats geared towards older listeners.
4.5/5
Truth 09-22-2009, 03:05 PM i mean more less
MegStarr* 09-24-2009, 12:31 AM i love how ghost romances on the mic.
i have always said that the wu does tracks on the topics of sex and love like on other artist. they are grimey and raw and make you want to fall in love or just go ****. either or. or maybe both. but definitely the second one.
ima listen to this album soon...
MegStarr* 09-28-2009, 10:51 PM i am loving this album right now.
i listened to it straight through this morning, start to finish, and i think it's fantastic.
for my initial review i give it a 4/5. love, love, LOVE this.
boys, you need to give this album a chance if you havn't. it's completely understandable that you may not be open to an effort so soft in subject matter but this is proof that Ghost is still on top. no doubt. Ghost is THAT DUDE. one of the best to ever do it. period.
sisforshaq 09-29-2009, 02:23 PM I thought it was average. Nothing special, and deleted most of it from my comp.
Truth 09-29-2009, 02:41 PM i mean more less i'll buy it later on today. ya dig? gotta support the homie ghost
MegStarr* 09-30-2009, 10:22 PM k so now i've listened to it a few more times
and the initial buzz has worn off. it's a good album but it isn't great.
in the end there are about 4 or 5 super solid tracks and the rest could have been filled with some more diverse material.
Truth 10-01-2009, 07:39 AM really? i thought u loved it?^
I like it alot. gonna listen to it again today.
KILLA RIGHT 10-01-2009, 02:18 PM probably my fav mc but this album i will not buy. Has a couple good songs but this **** is just straight *****...*bumps ob4cl*
Ravishing 10-01-2009, 02:46 PM **** is fly to me. Beats are really dope, the way he put the songs together sounded really ill too and wasnt just a girl singing a hook and him rappin. You can tell Ghost puts time into his work.
Obviously it's no Supreme Clientele, but it's a solid album.
Wu in 2009 = 2 for 2
