View Full Version : Mosley vs. Judah
jack_the_rippuh 03-08-2005, 10:53 PM Who wins?
In my opinion, Mosley would knock Judah out. I know Judah packs a good punch, but Mosley has an exceptionally good chin at that weight, and I don't think Judah can land those hard shots he likes to land while standing in front of his opponent without getting caught with some hard shots as well..
My prediction is Mosley TKOs Judah in 4-6 rounds.
What do you think?
FightFan214 03-08-2005, 10:56 PM Judah by tko round 11 or 12.

Mosley would eat Judah alive. Mosley wins this one by early KO.
Agreed. It would only be a matter of time before Mosely lands a straight right & he hits a lot harder than Jan Bergman.
borikua 03-08-2005, 11:06 PM Judah by D or TKO. Too fast for Mosley...Who is on the downhill of his career, much like DLH.
jack_the_rippuh 03-08-2005, 11:10 PM I can't believe you people are serious. Mosley has one of the best chins in the game, especially at 140-147, what makes you think Judah can stop him? The Wright fight was a physical mismatch..How you people think Judah can stop or even drop Mosley is beyond me..

agreed. mosley has a great chin and I think you guys are underestimating his speed at welterweight.
Although this is all contingent on how Shane looks at welterweight. we'll get a peak when he fights Estrada.
Shanes gotta get his legs back. I think he might have a lot of the same problems Roy had with losing muscle. I think for one reason or another(coughRoidscough), these guys lost their ability to use their once impressive footwork to set up their flashy combination work.
Right now though, I like Mosley UD 12 over SuperJudah
a lot can change from now until then, should the fight ever happen.
Mosley Sucks against south paws TKO Round 3 ZAB JUDAH
davico 03-08-2005, 11:35 PM I'm not sure what to make of this fight , Mosley is def on the slide and Judah has matured since his fight with KT. Speed at 147 will not be a factor and I don't think Zab has the power to KO Mosley. I will go with Mosley by SD
Mosley would either knock Judah out in the 2nd or 3rd round, or win a unanimous decision. He is just as fast, hits harder, and has way more heart. He could stand up to any punch Zab hits him with, and exchange. Another advantage he has on Zab, is his agility with punches. Zab has a nice uppercut, but that will not land on Mosley.
Mosley is an assassin.
Hurlex 03-08-2005, 11:50 PM AT WELTER PEOPLE>....mosley would seriously outclass and ko judah...and than maybe crip walk/dance around him...mosely is good remember, light middleweight just wasn't for him. :boxing:
masterdirector 03-09-2005, 12:20 AM 3-4 years ago, Mosley DESTROYS Judah. Now...it is a toss up, but I lean toward Judah. Before the Forrest 1 fight, Mosley was supernatural. Now, 4 losses later, Mosley seems above average still, but nothing spectacular.
I felt Judah beat Spinks in the first fight and clearly he beat him in the rematch. Mosley has better experience against better opposition, but yeah it is like someone else said, he struggles with southpaws.
I can definitely see Judah beating Mosley. Knockout? Only if in the very late rounds. Probably a decision, which would be exciting as hell but that old fool Larry Merchant would call boring.

Wright is the only southpaw he has struggled with, as well as the only southpaw I recall him fighting.
Neuraxis 03-09-2005, 12:38 AM Apparently size means nothing on this board.
MWCOFSU 03-09-2005, 01:47 AM Apparently size means nothing on this board.
meaning?
Mosley has a couple inches on Zab(5'9 to 5'7)
Zab might not have gone up to 154, but he's not a small welterweight, he can pop.
mosley should get off the roids anyway, get his legs back.

Meaning that a lot of people here think that Mosley would lose and/or get stopped based on how he performed against naturally bigger opponents in Forrest and Wright.
Well isent Corey a natural 154?
masterdirector 03-09-2005, 02:13 AM And some people on this board base Mosley on what he was doing 3 and 4 years ago. People act like Mosley was a knockout artist. Obviously, mosley has a great KO ratio, but he's not a one punch KO artist. Mosley knocks Judah out in 3 or 4? Come on, whatever. Who was the last person period Mosley knocked out that fast? I don't even remember. Checking...
Adrian Stone in 2001. Who? Just some bum.
And how many guys equally as fast as Mosley has Shane dealt with? Remember, he didn't fight Pernell, DLH did. DLH and Winky are the two fastest guys Mosley has dealt with. Zab has fought Corley, Witter, and Spinks.
I don't think we'll be seeing prime Mosley when he gets back to 147. Those losses have taken their toll, even if just mentally. Clearly, Shane isn't the same guy he was back in 2001. And Zab is arguably better than he was in 2001.
I'm not saying Zab destroys Mosley. I wouldn't be surprised if Shane beat Zab, but it'd probably be a decision, maybe late ko for Shane. I'd have to go with Zab right now though.
marvdave 03-09-2005, 02:37 AM considering Spinks was able to outbox Zab a little but had no punch to keep Zab at a distance, I'm thinking Mosley could do same and at the same time put some leather on Zab. Everyone is jumping on the Zab bandwagon right now, but Mosley is a very skilled and powerful veteran. I think Mosley would win a decision.
I don't think it's easy, but think Shane would win.
Allen_Poe 03-09-2005, 02:38 AM as good as I think this fight would be, i hope it never happens. mosely is my favorite fighter ever, and judah is #3, I refuse to root against either fighter and dont want to see either lose.
xrhythmxnxbluesx 03-09-2005, 02:41 AM judah is one of my fave fighters... esp what he did to nady (my avatar)... but mosley will win... i think he will over power judah...
RUDDY 03-09-2005, 05:47 AM Mosley would rip Judah up at the moment. Mosley could take Judahs power all day long and would march straight through him. Judah still needs to grow into a proper welterweight.
mosley id too big , too seasoned , and he can fight for 12 rounds without losing his focus.
plus zab speed , his greatest weapon , will mean nothing against sugar who is as fast and has the strenght of a middleweight .
shane by late TKO .
Truth 03-09-2005, 07:56 AM Judah by D or TKO. Too fast for Mosley...Who is on the downhill of his career, much like DLH.
I agree with you Judah is faster than Mosley now and Mosley isn't as good as he once was.

Mother ****er, don't you dare try saying I'm jumping on the Zab bandwagon. Who the **** you think you're talking to? You know I was the ****ing only person on the damn wagon back a few months ago. Me and zabkillsspinks and maybe like 2 others around here.
Spinks wasn't doing much outboxing of Zab. He won like the first 3-4 rounds of Zab vs. Spinks 1 because Zab kept hesitating. I know exactly what Zab was doing too. He went in there expecting Spinks to run the whole time, so he had his gameplan for that. Spinks wasn't running so Zab just kept waiting too long. Then definitely from the 5th on, that fight was Zab's. Even with that bull**** knockdown, Zab still won the first fight because he neutralized Spinks' bull**** knockdown with his own real knockdown.
I'm glad everyone is so up on Mosley being able to destroy Judah though. Hopefully Mosley buys all that hype too. Zab'll give him a big wakeup call in not taking him lightly.
People are comical on Mosley's return to 147. Apparently Sugar Shane found a time machine back to 2000 huh. Don't get me wrong, I like Mosley a lot, but I just don't think he's anywhere near the same fighter he was.
I don't know why there's all this Mosley vs. Judah talk already anyhow. It's probably going to be Zab vs. DLH in August or Sept. Zab definitely has his work cut out for him either way. The 140 division is no longer the hottest division. Its 147.
147 you got Zab, Mosley, DLH, Margarito, Cintron, Spinks, maybe Forrest, possibly Tszyu after June, possibly Mayweather, probably Gatti. They've already mentioned Gatti vs. Judah, which I mean would be great for Zab. But I'd rather Zab vs. DLH. Let Floyd eat Gatti. Zab is already getting a tune up against Cosme Rivera. He doesn't need another one against Gatti.

I don't recall addressing you personally. I also don't recall saying Mosely would destroy him. I said he would outpoint him in a tough bout. Please don't bother responding to my posts in the future if you insist on acting like a child. Save your name calling for others.
Floydmayweather 03-10-2005, 12:32 AM Judah is to fast and slick for mosley. Judah via 10th round ko.
tommo 03-10-2005, 02:44 AM you never know with shane mosely these days, i can see him getting decisioned.Remember, zab has good footwork.
Zab Super Judah 03-10-2005, 03:04 AM judah by UD...................mosley of 3 years ago would win

i agree, but zab should sometime limit his overconfidence
