i was at my boy's parents house last night. he's pinoy and we were having a little get together over there and going over wedding details for today...anyways what i noticed is there should be no fighting between ricans and pinoys.. he comes from a big family as do i and when i was over at his house i felt like i was at my family's.. i live in jacksonville and for some reason it has a healthy pinoy population.. what i'm getting at is i see alot of similarities between u and us.. the way we interact with family from what i saw is identical.. the national pride.. the drinking and eating till 2am lol (stuffed myself with lumpias and casaba cake) and other things i can't really explain but u just kinda feel.. i think this fight has had some of us at eachothers throats and just wanted to share how there's so many things we have in common.. i know alot of you can't see that bc u live in the phillipines and many of u live in cali and don't have alot of experience around PRicans.. My roommate is pinoy and his best friend (who's a good friend and co-worker of mine) is the guy getting married tomorrow and we're both in the wedding and his family made me feel like i was at home.. sooo i think both of our countries being passionate there seems to be alot of bicker.. if i've ever said something..i apologize.. i love boxing and get caught up in it.. Cotto and Pac have a mutual respect for eachother and so should we as the fans.. I'm still rooting for Cotto and think he'll win and you are thinking the exact oppisite and that's OK!! what fun would it be if everyone rooted for the same guy?.. either way it will be a great fight!

I live in Cali and you're right....not a lot of Ricans here in the West coast, but I can understand the similarities in culture....much like the Mexicans which are a plenty here.
