Worst Movies (http://www.imdb.com/chart/bottom)

"Manos, Hands of Fate" looks so cheap, I might hang myself if I saw it.

The imdb lists are fun, but in no way should they be considered authorities on movie rankings.

They are all done by ordinary voters. When Lord of the Rings came out, there were people creating accounts to vote 'The Godfather' a 1/10 to get the one of the fantasy films in the top spot. The lists are far too biased against older films.

That being said, here are the films (non documentary) I've given a 1/10 to on this site (around 2000 films voted on - they have to be obscenely bad for me to vote a 1/10):

Abraxas, Guardian of the Universe (1991); Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970)/Cabin Boy (1994)/Cop & 1/2 (1993)/Corky Romano (2001)/The Craft (1996)/Dead Man on Campus (1998)/The Devil's Rain (1975)/Glen or Glenda (1953)/Glitter (2001)/Going Overboard (1989)/I Spit on Your Grave (1978)/It's Pat (1994)/Joe's Apartment (1996)/Jury Duty (1995)/Mortal Kombat Annhilation (1997)/ Mother's Day (1980)/MP Da Last Don (1998)/National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002)/Plan 9 From Outer Space (1959)/Police Woman (1974)/Reefer Madness (1938)/Rhinestone (1984)/Romeo Must Die (2000)/Santa Claus (1959)/The Screaming Skull (1958)/Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997)/Wild Things 2 (2004)/Wired (1989)

As bad as Reefer Madness is, it's actually kind of funny.

I prefer Sex Madness in the "so bad it's good" rewatchability-type of movies. There are also a bunch of "educational" and "documentary" films that were made in the old days that must have been filmstrips at high schools and churches that are so wretched they are laugh-out loud ridiculous. Some of my favorites (you can get them at archive.org: What Makes a Good Party? (1950)/Let's Be Good Citizens at School (1953)/Are You Popular? (1947)/Duck and Cover (yes, a nuclear war preparedness film strip with an animated duck as the mascot)(1951) 1/10/Cindy Goes to a Party (1955)

My voted 2/10 movies (a greater number than the 1s):

Armageddon (1998)/Bank Robber (1993)/Barney's Great Adventure (1998)/Blade II (2002)/Bordello of Blood (1996)/Boxing Helena (1993)/Bringing Up Baby (1938)/Car 54, Where Are You? (1994)/CB4 (1993)/Celtic Pride (1996)/The Christine Jorgensen Story (1970)/Class of Nuke 'Em High II: Subhumanoid Meltdown (1991)/Club Paradise (1986)/The Country Bears (2002)/Cruising (1980)/Demon Knight (1995)/The Doom Generation (1995)/Dude, Where's My Car? (2000)/Eddie (1996)/Excess Baggage (1997)/Eye for an Eye (1996)/Fair Game (1995)/The First Power (1990)/Getting Even With Dad (1994)/Getting In (1994)/Gigli (2003)/Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman (2000)/Junior (1994)/Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde (2003)/Leprechaun (1993)/Leprechaun in the Hood (2000)/Little Nicky (2000)/Masters of the Universe (1987)/Meatballs Part II (1984)/Mom and Dad Save the World (1992)/Never Talk to Strangers (1995)/No Holds Barred (1989)/North (1994)/Nothing But Trouble (1991)/The Preacher's Wife (1996)/Ringmaster (1998)/Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion (1997)/Say Anything (1989)/Say It Isn't So (2001)/Scooby-Doo (2002)/Senior Trip (1995)/Soul Man (1986)/The Substitute (1996)/Suburban Commando (1991)/Summer Catch (2001)/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993)/Thinner (1996)/Top Dog (1995)/The Wash (2001)/White Man's Burden (1995)

I wasted two whole boxes of tissues crying at what a waste of time it was;

to watch that disgraceful movie. Shame on Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

they did a good job in Starsky&Hutch though.

Wow, you guys watch a lot of ****ty movies. I've really only seen a handfull of ****ty movies in my entire life. :p

Here are the ones I can remember:

Rocky V - Come on people Rocky I was great and Rocky III was entertaining but this one was a joke!

The Onion Field - The only time I've ever actually left the movie theater in the middle.

Titanic - Just awful. And so freaking long.

The Godfather III - Doesn't even deserve to have the name "Godfather" in the title. Embarrassing.

He annoys me as well. He has his funny moments......IE: shanghai nights, S&H, and that Eddie Murphy movie where Murphy is a boxer.

other than that.

he sucks.

Manos the Hands of fate was on an episode of Mystery Science THeatre 3000, so I have seen it. It actually was amazingly awful.

I mean the movie actually manages to make a catfight between a bunch of toga-clad, decent looking women unnapealing.

Well, it's a matter of personal taste I suppose. I tried hard to understand the film but maybe it's beyond my intellect, he-he. :D Penelope Cruz though was so sexy in her nude scenes! :p

I think Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller are a good team in the movies they do, and I think it's cool how Owen, Ben, and Will Farrell all show up in each others movies. For Example: Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson starred in "Starsky and Hutch", and Will Farrell played the part of a inmate. In Will Farrells "Anchorman" Ben Stiller made an appearance as a spanish gangster in the one gang fight. Pluse, Ben Stiller and I don't know the other guys name, but he is the other star in "Dodgeball" Well the dude from Dodgeball also plays a part in "Anchorman"

Ive seen a lot of ****ty movies. Neils, I think you vote too harshly. Some of the movies you gave 1's I would have given a 3 or a 4. Some of the worst Ive seen are:
The Forgotten, completely absurd.
Pure Race, Check this out on IMDB. Its got a rating of 8.3 This is pure bull****. The only people who have voted on this piece of **** would be the director and actors.
Blood Lake Looks like it was shot with a 1983 Sears home video camcorder. Horrible.
Boogeyman Edited bad bad bad, I could hardly tell what was going on.

It was worth watching once - actually I saw it a second time when it was on Cinemax. David Spade's haircut, Nick Swardson's "in-the-closet" (literally) character - it makes a good second-half of a double feature with "BASEketball" if you're in that kind of mood...

I honestly couldn't believe a movie could be that bad, it actually made me angry. I'm actually getting pissed off right now, just thinking about it. Yeah, and it's like 40 minutes too. I remember buying that when it came out, then getting rid of it shortly thereafter.

The Last Don miniseries with Danny Aiello is good, though.

Armageddon would top my list of worst movies. It had a big budget, big special effects, and a big name cast. It also had one of the worst plots ever... sending a rag tag group of oil drillers to ****in outer space in order to save the whole damn world, not very likely. The really bad wannabe emotional scene with Affleck and the gay ass song by Aerosmith were the cherry on top.

Batman & Robin starring Clooney was a bad one and Battlefield Earth was also another stinker. well, pretty much any Travolta film post Pulp Fiction sucks.
