Jones def is the future along with Anthony Johnson but if he couldnt ko Bonnar, Jake O Brien, or Andre Gusmao, I doubt hes gonna ko Hamill although anything can happen

i think Jones uses his wrestling in reverse to keep it standing. hamill doesn't have a great defense, when you combine that with Jones' creativity and freakish reach, it adds up to a bad night for Hamill. i got Jones by 2nd round TKO.

no doubt, i cant wait for it, a win for either fighter means they are ready to step it up especially for a young gun like jones, Hammill faltered already at the top but Rich Franklin is a beast so you cant hold it against him to much

damn i am a real big hamill fan, gettin off topic for a second but i truly believe he was robbed in the bisping fight. but back to the thread. Both these guys are good, i think jones is gonna win. but im pullin for hamill

Hamill's striking is still raw, he's very strong but lacks punching technique and his cardio looks suspect. Jon Jones is a better athlete, is faster but doesn't have the heaviest hands in the world.

Anyways.. to say Hamill is a beast of a striker is extremely premature to say the least. I think he's quite overrated, and his wrestling skills don't really convert to MMA very well. I mean, he was already an accomplished wrestler before the UFC, and since he's been fighting here I haven't seen world class wrestling from him. Don't get me wrong, the guy can wrestle, but not necessarily when the other guy is allowed to throw punches.

And I'm not hating, I'm a massive patriot, and LOVE Bisping, but yeah I accept that Hamill was robbed against him.

The head kick against Munoz was nice, but certainly not refined, and had a hint of luck to it IMO.

As for Jones, he's similar to Hamill; no stand out wins, and nothing done really apart from being marketable.

The only reason I pick Jones is because he has had less time to unimpress me I guess. To say he is the future of the sport is either an amazing prophecy, or people following a bit of hype from someone who has looked good against D grade opposition.

I'm not a hater, maybe both these guys will be UFC greats, but on current evidence I'd say making that prediction is uneducated.

i disagree hamills standup has gotten better since tuf but there is still many holes in his standup jones has decent standup and i think that will be the difference since hamill likes to standup....only chance i see hamill winning is if he takes him down and gnp him to oblivion...hope hamill wins but i see jones by tko

Hamill seems kinda slow to me, and not very smart. Strange that he has so many fans, I guess it's because he's deaf and ha seems like a good guy. And most ppl know him from TUF.

I voted for Jones, because he's more interesting and I think he has more talent in the long run.

Definitely leaning towards Jones in this, but Hamil is a step up for Jones. This is a good matchup.
