This is the way a role model should act! The man is a inspiration!

I believe him. He said he doesnt drink, smoke or done drugs ever, and then he says "I was around it 24/7". Usually people who are around that **** all day will become addicts or they will go in the complete opposite direction because they cant stand it since it was a part of their lives for so long and they see first hand what drugs and alcohol and cigs do to a person.

I find it hard to believe it as well, but if it is in fact true, then more power to him.

I've never done any mind-altering substances (alcohol, weed, drugs), but I do smoke cigarettes. So I can't say I'm like Mundine.

sometimes when people see thing that they know are bad and its around them all the time, they tend to make the adjustments needed to not take the path thats right in front of them because they can see the bad in it. Good for him and anyone that can resist any bad and negative temptations.

Whats the point in smoking? It just damages you health, and makes your teeth yellow and gives you a bad cough and a smelly breath.

**** knows man. No real reason to, but when I need to drastically lose weight, it kind of helps with quelling my appetite. But I agree it is stupid. Just I haven't noticed it affecting my cardivascular stamina yet, so I haven't had much motivation to stop.

first post...

im not a big mundine fan, but i believe him on this one.

I felt for him when he was called a "bad roll model" for phil hughes (cricketer). couldn't believe it, he doesn't drink/drugs and apart from over self promoting doesn't do anything un-social yet because he's a boxer he's a bad roll model?

suhenkoy,

You're only 19, give it a few more years before you say you don't see noticeable changes. I knew a guy who started when he was like 18 and when he was 22, the dude coughed up black **** and smoked ten a day. I used to mess with it, just trying to give you a slightly more aged perspective on the matter. Also, chewing sunflower seeds to stop smoking works better than the gum. For me, it quells the appetite too.

to everyone else, and concerning mundine...he's likely done something.

probably hit more than 2 cycles of various steroids already at this point in his career at a very minimum, even if he wasn't into booze, painkillers and ganga, I can promise he's done some kind of illegal substance that's good for a boxer. You'd be stupid to be on his level and not do it, all the competition uses and if you disagree, get educated.

I used to believe foreman never used steroids, but currently I'm a firm believer that every single boxer on or around the world level has a 80% chance of using or have used steroids, coinciding with Winthorp Labs making Winstrol, probably the best universal steroid for a boxer, approved by the FDA for human consumption in 1962. Did it really surprise everyone, less than 5 years later, to see freaks of nature like Ron Lyle and Ernie Shavers, emerge from nowhere? ...Foreman was also a freak of nature if you ask me. Lifting cows and ****.
