hey everyone
if I turn pro I also want to gain some weight

I'm not here to ask for help because I'm doing pretty well actually just saying how its going...... I already gained 30 lbs over the last month and I haven't even been lifting or anything....... just working my cardio a little bit and drinking protein shakes a friend recommended them to me and they really seem to work so I would advise that to everyone that tries to gain weight--------

How does working your cardio gain you 30 lbs? And why would you want to gain lbs if its not your natural weight or a weight that doesnt fit your body frame. Boxing is NOT wrestling. Gaining weight and beefing up incredibly like wrestlers do is discouraged.

I'm 6'1 btw and I heard mike tyson was only 5'11 but he weighed over 200 lbs so I think I'll bulk up to around 200 too then I should be strong as a bull
It shouldnt take too long with the progress I'm currently making but my friend told me I should slow down--------your thoughts any advice????

I like stories too, ever hear little red riding hood or the three little pigs?

no but really your 6'1" and you want to get to 200? whats your frame size? wrap your longest finger and thumb around the wrist of the other hand do you fingers overlap, just touch, or dont even touch? how much cardio do you do a week? are you being taught by someone? have you ever tried pro nos protein shakes?

well anyways id reccomend that you get yo your ideal weight then stay there by building up you routine past the point where you continue gaining weight and stich their for a while. perhaps even increase you protein shake intake along with your routine and just keep building up your routine whiel you stay where you want to stay at. say 6 months at the ideal weight before you make an attempt to fight some one beyond sparing

In those vids, you're 6'1"?

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BmGhGclzm0c&hl=nl&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BmGhGclzm0c&hl=nl&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And there is no way in hell you could gain 30 lbs. in a month and still be a scrawny little pisant like you are in your vids. Even if you were shooting Reforvit-B you'd be lucky to gain 30 lbs. of muscle in a year.

Further, why would you want to gain weight? The boxer with the lower BMI almost always has the physical advantage unless you're a heavyweight pro or superheavyweight am.

Of course, if you actually boxed, you'd know this, and you'd be trying to stay as trim as possible.

The way you hit -- or more to the point, the way you don't -- and as glove-shy as you are, if you were to fight in a higher weight class without actual training you'd get seriously injured.

It is possible to be skinny and strong.

However, you are not.

You are skinny and you punch like a little girl.

No contradiction.

That still has nothing to do with what he said you illiterate fvck. You're trying to gain weight to be stronger, obviously, but thats not how it works. It depends on your body frame. Like I said, this ain't wrestling where you can beef up. There's a difference between physical in shape with a low BMI than being scrawny, no muscle, and have a low BMI. Therfor, destroying your theory of his post being a contradiction. Do they have a credible educational system down there in Arkansaw?

lololol so you think heavyweights arent stronger than lightweights you idiot??? Mike Tyson was 220 lbs or something and I'm taller than him so I can get even stronger..................and education has nothing to do with this dont try to change the subject moron I took an iq test and had 105 thats higher than avarage you dumbass

105 is hardly believable. How can I believe that when your spelling is that of a 9 year old Somalian boy. ****, I haven't seen a post of yours that doesn't contain "lolol", credible arguements, and proper spelling.

Are you fvcking stupid?? I never said anything about Heavyweights NOT being stronger than lightweights. You fail to see the entire point in everyone's posts because your illiterate mind cannot comprehend what real boxings addicts are talking about. This is shown very clearly in the "most portected fighter" thread. Mike Tyson had a Heavyweights body-frame, but he was short. Are you saying a fighter like Pacquiao could move up to heavyweight and be stronger and better? Your a fvcking idiot. Every little Ali wannabe wants to become Heavyweight champion of the world, but fact is, your not. You don't have the body frame of a heavyweight. How do you think your going to be in the least bit of shape if you hit of 201 lbs dip****? Your going to be fat and slow. And now, you will not do any sort of good if you tried beefin' up to that weight. Your delusional, and this is sad to see where our generation is going. I argue with teens my age on the internet everyday, and you sir are the most ignorant, illiterate, self-centered, close minded fvcks I have every had the unfortunate chance of meeting. Now please, do us a strong favor.

Find a nice sturdy rope,

and make good use of it.

I was making a point you fvcktard. Kelly Pavik is 6'1, but his body frame doesn't work for Heavyweight, explain that to me fvcktard. Paul Williams is 6'2, but his body frame won't shoot him up to Heavyweight. Tommy Hearns was 6'2 but his body won't allow him to shoot up to Heavyweight. Explain that to me Genius. You want to end up looking like James Toney just to make Heavyweight? You know nothing about training, athletics, or boxing for that matter. You're making a ridiculous arguement. Mike Tysons body frame was alot bigger for his height, do you realize this? Do you know what a "body frame" is? Mike Tyson wasn't a skinny kid growing up, his body is very very Mesomorphic, which is much much different than yours. By the looks of you, you are probably inbetween all body types, which will not allow you to move up to over 201 lbs ideally. Only way that is possible is if your an extreme Meso, in which you are NOT.

Boxing is athletic, dumbass. And nice way to avoid everything I say in that entire post you *****, the only thing you replied to was a minor mention of athletes, haha, you're pathetic. How the hell to get by in life? It seems you don't even have a sense of logic. You have noticed your a joke on this forum, right?
