Regarding an attack, or counterpunching...who do you think has the p4p fastest hands. Ill try my hand at this list.

1.) Wladimir Klitschko:

it might be a no-brainer, when Ronnie Shields says: Wlad has some of the fastest hands I have ever seen. They might be faster than mike's in his prime. Pretty fast for a HW.

2.) Chris Byrd:

Wlad's nemesis who did not earn the name "Rapid Fire" for nothing. He has reeled off countless punches against HW attackers, before they even see them coming.

3.) Floyd Mayweather:

He can counterpunch on the inside as well as anywhere, and his punches are extremely versatile.

4.) Manny Pacquiao:

He throws ridiculous combinations of straight punches that nobody can see coming. His straight left is the fastest POWER punch in boxing today.

5.) Kassim Ouma:

He makes a living off his handspeed, and has used it to frustrate opponents in the ring, and in the gym training for big fights. One day, he will show everyone his True speed.

I would say Pacquiao, Mayweather, Judah, Ouma, and Ivan Calderon.

my vote for fastest hands would have to go to Don King. That man can snatch $250,000 dollars from a fighter and that fighter would never even know it happened, until he gets his final pay for the bout. Ask Tom "Boom Boom" Johnson, he'll tell ya all about how fast Don King is..............Rockin'

De La Hoya has some fast flurries.
Mayweather has quick hands as well.

If we're talking about current fighters, it's a toss up between Mayweather, Dela Hoya and Pacquiao.

If we're talking about past fighters, Sugar Ray Leonard, without a doubt.

current top 5 with tremendous handspeed:

1. floyd mayweather - not only hadspeed but also the best footwork; very hard to catch

2. manny pacquiao - fans or not will agree on this

3. bernard hopkins - not actually as fast as the first two, but his accuracy is probably the best; never throw useless punches

4. kostya tszyu - accuracy and power combined

5. winky wright - above average handspeed; not enough power, though

all time:

1. sugar ray leonard - is there anyone who doubt this?
2. muhammad ali - he was faster when he was casius clay :boxing:

No love for Sugar Shane? He's faster than Wright is for sure. He's just not big enough and Winky's got too good of a defense.

maybe we'll all remember how fast shane is when he's back at welterweight. I mean I love Nard and Winky, but as far was speed goes, I dont think its a contest.

I'm not saying Shane is top 5, but if Nard&Winky are at 3&5...wheres Shane Mosley?

1)Mayweather- Same as Calderon, but bigger
2)Ivan Calderon-has no power, barly loses a round, wins by points
3)Hopkins- Fast, and smart
4)Pacman- fast
5)Oscar- going downhill, still has fast feet, Jab

Might of missed somebody.

one thing about oscar is that the weight he added just to make it to the middleweight division just slowed him down. if he stays in the welterweight, or even in the superwelterweight, his speed will not be affected.

i see what you're saying, but JCC KOed Taylor. would you that makes JCC faster? no, he just hits harder.

at welterweight, you gotta put mosley ahead of DLH, Hopkins, and Winky P4P. We all saw the DLH-Mosley fight at welterweight. whatever oscar's excuse was for losing that fight, Mosley was visibly faster the whole night.

plus mosley at welterweight went a whole round w/o getting hit. i mean who else has done that? Jones...sweet pea..?

so are you saying DLH could have won his belt to lesser-skilled fighters in those divisions while losing to more superior champs?

naz was pretty fast in his day

and the reason (one of them) that you can argue that wlad has speed is because he can knock people out, not needing to let his fists traveling too many inches in the process..

RwK

Tell Ronnie Shields that Wlad's hands are slow.

He would find that comical.

He has the most compact punch of any fighter. It takes 0 time for

his punches to hit the target.

Fastest hands right now gotta be in no order:

Mayweather, Jr. (possibly the fastest pull counters since a prime Ali...seen the guy on the inside land 2's and 3's while his opponents were in mid-stream.)

Pacquiao (hands down the fastest left cross in boxing (neither Marquez nor Barrera could pick up on it...and Barrera pretty much shut down Hamed's left), unheard of speed and power combination.)

Gainer (sad that all he has is Roy Jones like handspeed.)

Byrd (unfair how much faster and sharper he is than other heavyweights, flat out lands 4-1 on any opponent he chooses.)

Judah (dude throws 4's on the inside like a monster, too bad his accuracy wit his flurries is sub par...da guy has missed quite a few shots on stunned opponents, that is until he landed the big one.)

and the power he generates behind it is scary, i honestly felt that i could have held my breath until the time when Marquez would beat him senseless but when he dropped that left hand on him i had to renig....bottom line, Morales has somethin to fear. Anybody dat hands a** whippins to fighters who would give u all u could possibly handle spells a a** whippin for u.

Yes. And I may add, the coolest analogy I have heard today. It is truly "smart guided" to the target of his opponents.

I know i must be dreaming or someone must be joking. Wladimir Klitschko has the fastest hands in boxing? Umm...no. Work on your comedy. ;)

The Don King's hands thing was funny.

A few years ago, I would've said Mosley for sure. And yeah Naseem was just awesome.

Anybody seen Witter lately? He had some pretty fast hands the last time I saw him, which has been like 2003 I think. Seems like the last Witter fight they showed in the States was on ****ing Shobox, which is just criminal.

Talking about fast hands, I like that Paul Malinaggi (I know I dropped one letter) kid pretty damn well. If he'll get his hands healthy and develop a little more power, damn he'll be something worth watching at 140. Can't wait to watch him embarrass Al Gonzalez. I knew Oscar Diaz would beat Gonzales. Had no doubt on that. Paul Malignaggi totally exposed Gonzalez, I love it.
