I think Gatti's left hook is the biggest pound 4 pound among active fighters.

I would have to say Wladimir Klitschko's left hook is the best I have seen in years. Its quick, and nasty....used in combination with his jab....makes for a SERIOUS punch.

Tyson and RJJ a close second race.

Trinidad's lefthook is still the best in my opinion.

I cant recall Judah having a good left hook. One, he is a southpaw. not to mention, his fortay is in uppercuts and straight punches.

just like a normal stance fighter can throw right hooks
but i was just sayin
im pretty sure zab dont throw hooks but more of strait lefts
i know he knocked dat kid Rangel on the Spinks-mayo undercard
with a short quick left strait
and dropped spinks with one too

Wladimir Klitschko, only god knows how many opponents he finished off with it.

In addition to it being the hardest, his left hook might be the fastest, as well as most versatile.

The only other Currently active fighter with a hook that rivals his, his Floyd Mayweather.

I only include Tyson and RJJ, because of recent memories.

Yeah, but Wladimir has one of the best offensive arsenals in recent times. Not only does he have a swift and powerful left hook, he has a sharp jab, a powerful right, and the ability to put combinations together like it's nothing.

Hence the fact that I rated him as having the fastest hands in boxing. Ronnie Shields agrees as well. Having trained plenty of world class fighters....and Tyson. Tyson having some of the fastest hands of ANY fighter to ever enter the ring. Opponents could not see punches coming.

Roy Jones use to throw that lead left hook very pretty. The hardest left hook goes to Felix Trinidad. Him and Roy Jones probably throw the prettiest left hooks. Floyd Mayweather throws a nice left hook, too.
Tyson and Tua, as mentioned before, throw a heavy left hook.

Honorable mentions: Gatti and Taylor..

Best pound for pound left hook would have to be Rocky Juarez. Hardest overall left hook would be Sam Peter.

Did you guys see Sam Peters left hook on Jeremy Williams, just brutal. One of the hardest punches ever. Period.

That doesn't really mean that he has a great left hook though. It was kind of random how that happend.

I don't know, but Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, George Foreman, Floyd Patterson and Tyson all had some pretty devastating left hooks. Diego Corrales has a powerful left also.

Mr Lacy throws a left hook that Frazier would give two thumbs up to.

If you ask Mr. Spinks who has the best left hook he might be inclined to tell you it is Zab Judah-- of course Zab would likely tell you the same though!

Oh yeah, and just to add: while it may not be the best in the bizz, my boy Chico can throw a pretty solid left!

Mr Lacy throws a left hook that Frazier would give two thumbs up to.

Mr. Frazier would also give two thumbs up to his kids fighting and getting destroyed and also to beating his wife.

Current fighters....

Mr. Lacey..Awesome Left hook!

Mr. Cotto..Devastating Left hook!

Mr. Gatti..Same as Cotto (would love to see them both compete)

In general and I'm not a fan at all....Mr. De LA Hoya (Left Hook Kingpin in lower weights)

Yeah I forgot about Lacy (despite the nickname) say what you will about the man but he is a beast when it comes to that punching power!!! And on top of it, he has one of the scariest sneers in the sport!

the left hook that put vargas on his back the first time in the 12th round was gross. i just like to watch it in slow motion as vargas' neck just looks like its gonna break.

Pound for Pound Tito probably has the best left hook. Rocky Juarez comes real close.
The most powerful left hook goes to wlad though. His double and triple left hook combinations were just awesome.

I agree with you 100%!!!Peter's power is overrated, his pouches even can't hurt Shufford and Jovo Pudar!

It wasn't punches in general. It was one punch in paticular that really almost killed Jeremy Williams that people are talking about.
