View Full Version : You know whats sad AintGottaClue 03-04-2005, 09:31 AM If somehow rahman beats vitali everyone will call him the real champ yet people say vitali isnt sad when hate for a fighter plays a role in stuff liek this Slipx 03-04-2005, 09:33 AM all I will say is that vitali's time is coming..he is not a b-hop style, he will reign for a few more defenses and someone will take him out AintGottaClue 03-04-2005, 09:35 AM i dont see anyone who can :x jack_the_rippuh 03-04-2005, 09:37 AM Who says Vitali isn't the real champ? I want to know who they think the real champ is.. Slipx 03-04-2005, 09:41 AM if lennox were to train his ass off and come back in near-prime condition, i think he would have a good chance at winning the fight. vitali cuts very easily, he could probably get the fight stopped on cuts and rob vitali AintGottaClue 03-04-2005, 09:41 AM Who says Vitali isn't the real champ? I want to know who they think the real champ is.. thats my point people who say he isnt the champ if rahman wins, unless they ride byrds sack long and hard, will say rahman is but vitali wasnt... += El Jefe=+ 03-04-2005, 09:41 AM Who says Vitali isn't the real champ? I want to know who they think the real champ is.. thats the sad part no one is the HW division is in the down fall right now, and i dont see any of the fighter as a "real champ", but if you asked me about who is the "most credible one" i would Say Vitali. cmason 03-04-2005, 09:43 AM If somehow rahman beats vitali everyone will call him the real champ yet people say vitali isnt sad when hate for a fighter plays a role in stuff liek this what do you mean IF? Slipx 03-04-2005, 09:43 AM vitali lives in beverly hills, i dont know if thats a good place to be when you are trying to reign as a champion with fight after fight coming up, also i know he's married but all those females are a major distraction when you train for a fight, hagler went into isolation to avoid that very problem AintGottaClue 03-04-2005, 09:44 AM what do you mean IF? like rahamn would have to drug vitali wear platform shoes put some lead in his gloves and blind vitali IF Bombardier 03-04-2005, 09:45 AM If Vitali wins it will be even harder for King to deny him fights against his champs. A fight with Byrd would probably follow soon. If Rahman wins King has promised us a unification tournament. So hopefully one way or another the heavyweight situation will sort itself out. The Vitali - Rahman fight is the best thing to happen to the division in a long time. jack_the_rippuh 03-04-2005, 09:46 AM If Vitali wins it will be even harder for King to deny him fights against his champs. The Vitali - Rahman fight is the best thing to happen to the division in a long time. If Rahman wins, will their be a rematch? AintGottaClue 03-04-2005, 09:47 AM If Rahman wins, will their be a rematch? hell no king would exile vitali from boxing Slipx 03-04-2005, 09:49 AM someone needs to snipe king cmason 03-04-2005, 09:51 AM like rahamn would have to drug vitali wear platform shoes put some lead in his gloves and blind vitali IF ha ha!! nice one. we'll see, felix, we'll see. boxernyc 03-04-2005, 09:58 AM Vitali is definitely the real champ. And if Rahman beats him , barring some irregularity (which is not comletely impossible - see Lewis - Klitschko), he will be considered the real champ. I lend a lot of credence to the Ring Magazing ranking and they have Vitali as champ. (so does HBO, but that doesn't really count! ;) ) I think most people also follow the Ring's rankings. But I think Vitali needs to take another belt to be considered the real champ in almost everyone's (there will always be the haters) mind. But to get there we get ino the whole Don King, WBC mandatory challenger (why is Rahman the mandatory, is he more deserving than Chris Byrd who has a win over him?) and contract disputes. So he'll have a rough time convincing the people that are unbelievers until there is an actual tournament with belt holders (wait for it!) fighting each other! Prince Harry 03-04-2005, 10:00 AM ..i can snipe king. i just saw a program about the iceman the other day, and i could well envision myself in a new job. so what will you give me? king has reached the age where a good BOO! in an elevator would do the trick.. that isent even illegal.. thats the way of the future, smart assassins.. :) AintGottaClue 03-04-2005, 10:03 AM ha ha!! nice one. we'll see, felix, we'll see. we'll see rahman KO'd in 6 Kimmy 03-04-2005, 10:16 AM I realize Rahman has power and is half decent contender but lets take a trip back to reality. Klitscko is gonna beat Rahman by stoppage. Klitscko is really good and i don`t see anyone at the moment in the division who can trouble him too much! Bombardier 03-04-2005, 10:21 AM If Rahman wins, will their be a rematch? King might demand one if the fight's close, but if Vitali beats him soundly then there'll be no way. The thing is that King is fighting a losing PR battle with this...he knows that more and more people are calling Vitali the true champ and losing respect for his fighters, which is costing him $$$. In order to maintain any credibility in the division he'll have to start putting up his champs against Vitali soon, as long as Vitali keeps demonstrating his dominance in the division. King knows that if he loses control of the division now it will be tough to get it back. elveiel 03-04-2005, 10:23 AM If somehow rahman beats vitali everyone will call him the real champ yet people say vitali isnt sad when hate for a fighter plays a role in stuff liek this Everyone knows Vitali is the real champ but shouldnt really say it because its disrespectful to the other champs. I've never heard anyone say any of the other guys are the genuine champ! Prince Harry 03-04-2005, 10:28 AM weve come a long way here people. we actually recognize vitali as the champ.. lets go tell it on the mountain! bigdlb12 03-04-2005, 11:02 AM it wont happen, only if an american fighter kick the SH!+ out of Sturm , then it will happen, just playing :boxing: AintGottaClue 03-04-2005, 11:36 AM it wont happen, only if an american fighter kick the SH!+ out of Sturm , then it will happen, just playing :boxing: i know your joking but what does an american fighter beating sturm have to do with vitali? bigdlb12 03-04-2005, 01:02 PM i know your joking but what does an american fighter beating sturm have to do with vitali?what you said "If somehow rahman beats vitali everyone will call him the real champ yet people say vitali isnt sad when hate for a fighter plays a role in stuff liek this" they would then call out the name of a real champ, unlike sturm :boxing: kinda like hate for sturm RwK 03-04-2005, 01:04 PM Who says Vitali isn't the real champ? I want to know who they think the real champ is.. I am in no way defending John Ruiz because I like him:..... but he has beat opposition 50x the caliber Vitali has. Some of the people Jane beat, I think would K.O. Vitali easily. Vitali has yet to prove anything. Losing to Lewis was unimpressive, and I had him losing on the cards at the time of the stoppage. Either that, or Lewis would have K.O.'d him in the later rounds. (his only claim to fame). The opposition....because I was. however; I am in no way saying Jane is the Champ. I recognize that Vitali is, its just that a case could be made for huggy bear. thats all. Look at the names of people Ruiz beat on paper. Its amazing. (I suppose in this weak HW era that is). MWCOFSU 03-04-2005, 01:19 PM If Rahman wins, will their be a rematch? do you remember how Rahman acted after he KOed Lennox. He was running in every direction to avoid a rematch. I remember being so excited after Rahman starched Lewis. But I lost all respect for him after Lewis had to basically threaten to sue if he didnt honor the rematch clause. IF (yea i said IF) Rahman wins, he'll have King to make all his excuses and avoid Vitali like the plague. hollister 03-05-2005, 02:18 PM if lennox were to train his ass off and come back in near-prime condition, i think he would have a good chance at winning the fight. vitali cuts very easily, he could probably get the fight stopped on cuts and rob vitali If lennox trained himself down to 245 lbs. and had a couple of tuneup fights, he would be as good as he ever was, IMO. He was actually much better to me in the last part of his career than he was in the first part. To me, the only thing that made the difference with VK was that he hadn't trained properly, and that, coupled with the fact that he fought someone that was taller than he was, and didn't go into survival mode when they got hit made the fight so rough. If either of them had actually boxed, rather than brawl, I think it would have been a very different fight. riz 03-05-2005, 02:24 PM I am in no way defending John Ruiz because I like him:..... but he has beat opposition 50x the caliber Vitali has.
