I was thinking about Winky vs Vernon also when I was watching the fight, but I think Forrest would win. There's something about Winky that always makes me mad. I like him alot, but it's like he always just does enough to win. Some fights it looks like he can dominate but instead he just cruises to victory. I think that will hurt him if he faces someone who matches up with him better, like Forrest, Ouma, Tito, or Hopkins. Thats what happened to him against Vargas. He was looking real good but out the blue he just started cruising through rounds. You think he would've learned by now

I think it would be a good match up. A lot of people like to dismiss Vernon since he lost to Mayorga but he is a well schooled fighter with good skills and has power in the right hand. He could hurt Winky.

yea, i really like forrest and i think he gets dissed cuz he fought a guy that had his number. i think he could come back and make some noise against almost anyone from 147 and 154

has the potential to be a stinker , with both guys stayin on the outside and trading jabs. but i may be wrong , could turn into a chess match too.

boring fight. the octopus vs the turtle shell. forrest is susceptible to right hands, winky doesnt have a powerful right but he has a good right jab that would probably be his best and only weapon. vernon standing in the outside with his usual jab, jab right. i think winky would win off the jab alone

i first want to see what forrest can still do. if he shows up like he did against mosely than i got forrest ud

I am not too sure how this matchup would turn out. For some reason, I think it would be a very awkward affair. I would tend to favor Wright at this moment, unless Forrest would be able to drop a few telling straight rights on Winky. It would also depend quite a bit on how Forrest is doing in his head right now.

this would be a really good fight for true boxing fans and a good advert for the real fundamentals of good boxing. I just wish forrest would get his ass back in contention cause there are some good fights out there for him.

Forrest hasn't fought in 16 months.....& has yet to fight a real 154lb fight.

If they fought tomorrow, Wright would abuse him. Let's see Forrest back in action, & against some 154lbers before thinking of this matchup.

i dont know why forrest has taken such a long layoff... he was competitve against mayo in his last fight... and the division is there for him to take... i'd take forrest over spinks or zab....
