Is he well known over there? Gold Medallist, taking a notoriously slow path to a title.

Is he any good? God knows. He's had 17 fights (all wins, 12 KOs) and yet I still don't know. Does he have a chin? Dunno. Could he stand up to a high-pressure fight? I dunno. Does he have a punch? I dun... you get the idea.

His most high-profile opponent was Julius Francis, who was British & Commonwealth champ in 1999, but is now the very model of a journeyman and has only won 2 of his last 16 fights.

Audley Harrison is a joke, he got some good money after winning the gold medal and wasted his talent with celeb partys. I cant see him ever fighting for a world title.

i must admit that his road to the gold was great , he really impressed me .

but he is too old and seems to be only willing to fight bums , so i have no interest in him anymore . plus he may lack power and durability to survive 12 rounds fights.

anorak and elveiel , is that the best the rainy country of the tea drinkers has to offer ?

I really don't know. Danny Williams said that - on a purely technical basis - Audley was the best in Britain. But he was always offering him out. Apparently they'd sparred and he said Audley had no punch.
