i disagree jack , i think gatti has heavier hands than chico , but thats because he weighs more than corrales.

corrales is a better combo puncher an one punch puncher , his punches are shorter and sharper than gatti .

Gatti's got good power, but Chico has explosive power from either hand, especially the left hook.

How about on a pound for pound base?

I know Corrales comes in heavy during fight time, and I know Gatti comes heavy during fight time as well, what is their average weights during fight time?

I disagree with you Tino! Corrales uses his freaky height advantages and leverage to add the extra juice to his shot. Gatti is a puncher but he has NEVER had what you would call phenominal power. Gatti`s recent performances are causing him to become....overrated of late!!

Chico's heavier handed, but Gatti has more than enough to get the job done. You don't need a Mk 84 LGB, when a few pounds of C4 will get the job done just as well.

Chico comes weighing in the welter area around 147. I agree with Kimmy. Chico gets alot of leverage on his punches, those short left hooks are dangerous.

gatti uses haymakers , physical strenght , and strong legs to put all his weight and strong build into his punches.

corrales has better punching skills and he is a real puncher cause ALL his punches can hurt you , gatti needs to set up power shots.

french "boxing" language distinguishes (spell?) punchers and people with heavy hands , calling them what can be translated as "bangers" , it s use for people with more strenght than punch who destroys you with heavy punches . i think chico is pure puncher , gatti a "banger".

plus jack look at the builds , corrales has the long arms and string build of punchers , ala tito or jackson , and gatti is a squat dude .

Pound 4 Pound...slight edge to Corrales.

Straight-up...significant edge to Gatti.

damn so many mix opinions, I cant pick just yet, chico was never able to hit PBF and Gatti vs DLH landed one clean punch in the 1st round that popped DLH's head back (not that it hurt him or anything)

DLH said that gatti can punch real hard , and he was caught flush ONCE.

but i think it proves that when you take away size and strenght advantage to gatti his power is not that big. most 140 pounders would have tasted canvas after eating sucha big left hook.

I think that Gatti vs PBF will be a mismatch for him, too much speed for gatti

yeah gatti is a great warrior but he cant beat hall of famers .

I think I would give the edge to Corrales but I think both have about equal power.

I vote for chico, more of a one punch ko artist IMO, Gatti lands combos

Corrales (http://boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=006722)

Gatti (http://boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=003999)

Pound for Pound, I would say Gatti hits harder.

he also hits harder overall. He stopped Dorin with 1 punch.

Thats ridiculous. He would tear Corrales head off with 1 punch.

what is the point of linking both guys records ?

and how can you say its ridiculous ? it s an interesting debate thx to bigdlb AND :

-IT S NOT ABOUT WHO BEATS WHO IT S ABOUT P4P POWER

- GATTI DOESNT BEAT CHICO IN ONE PUNCH

He stopped Dorin with one punch to the body and that is different than a shot to the chin. Gatti wouldn't beat Corrales with one punch either.
