Gatti has one of the best Left Hooks in the sport at the moment. The shot he KO'd Dorin with was brutal. Kostya Tszyu has a very good and powerful left hook, as does Ricky Hatton especially to the body

the hook gatti used to chop dorin in half was a great body punch, but hatton has finished lots of opponents witht that same shot im gonna say hatton to the body but gatti is right up there both are brutal hook fighters.

Hatton's body shots are more about accumilation. He is a pure bodypuncher, his main powershots are nearly all to the body and really lets them rip once he's got his opponents set up.

His straight right is his best punch by far but he has a very underated left hook. The second fight with Sharmba showed this, every time he landed, it shook him to his feet.

That's true, KT's left hook is kinda slow, i think the only reason why no one counters it, is because of that sickly disgustingly powerful straight right.

Yeah, he has the most versatile left hook in the 140lb division. He can counter with it, lead with it (very effectively), throw it to the body, and throw it retreating. But generally when people talk about how has the best punch they are normally talking about power, so you won't find too many people who share your views.

A very good question, but i dont agree with your choice brickhouse. Gatti's got a very good left hook but its no better than Cotto's or Hatton's.

IMO Tsyzu has the best left hook, but only slighty better than everyone elses. :cool:

best left hook is mohamed abdulaev , is skills are breath taking , so sad he is not well managed , but just check one of his fights ,perfect punching skills, and he beat cotto in the olympics.

yep i saw it , great amateur fight , i dont think cotto was robbed , it s just that he is a boricua fighter and they fight like PROS even in the amateurs ranks .

abdulaev is from eastern europe , thet really are teached amateur boxing , so he knew how to score with clean punches and look for points no damage . and those silly judges seemed not informed that body punches are valid punches , but the scoring for abdulaev was too much but fair IMO.

Vivian Harris has pretty good left hook too , he is very uderrated figter also. He knock Oktay Urkal out in the rematch with single left hook , but Gatti has the best left hook in 140
