I hope number 9 is the original also. If its not, I have no respect for your opinion anymore.

I would 2 and 3. Other than that, good list.

My favorite Horror movie of all time would be Texas Chainsaw Massacre No.1 (the original one). Tucker has seen that movie probably over 30 times. TNT was always being told at the video store that he has already rented that one out many times-I think they might have thought that I must have been a psycho or something. Later brother brologs.

I have seen many of the films listed here. But the original Halloween was the one that most scared the wits out of me when I first saw it! But I noticed that these kind of films are good for one viewing only. If you watch these movies again, the "scare" or "horror" element is gone and they become dry or boring, sometimes even funny. Unlike the classics or action films, you can watch them over and over again and the "thrill" factor is still there. Just my personal experience of course.

They don't have the same effect, but a lot of the slasher films are rewatchable, especially the bad ones that you're watching to MST3K...

But yeah, the ones with the plot twists, the creepy ones, etc. - if you remember what happens, it's ruined.

But I can make it a tradition to watch the original Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street, but the Saws or The Sixth Sense are really only good for one viewing

So glad to see someone else who loved that film (or saw it for that matter). The scene with Orlock rising from the casket, or his shadow stalking up the steps are still some of the most horrific scenes in Cinema today. Graf Orlock was a much better vampire than Dracula.

(I actually have a portrait of Orlock's face tattooed on the inside of my right bicep)

Gotta laugh at the guy who put Jaws:The Revenge in his list. Obviously not a serious list. Jaws:The Revenge was the movie that killed the Jaws franchise dead. Nobody thought it could get worse after Jaws 3D, but it did.
