find your pulse on your neck or palm and count how many times it beats in a minute.

the average americans heart rate is somewhere in the mid to upper 70's. 35 is abnormally low

resting heart rate is best checked once you wake up in the morning. mines 50-58bpm one i wake up. some athletes have an incredibly low resting heart rate because of their level of conditioning. ive heard instances of long distance athletes getting as low as the 30s.

I measured 36 myself...
Professional divers get to under 20 bpm I think.

now that you know your bpm, you should find out how long it takes you to recuperate after a tough rd.
