Tyson has Aussie visa problems!
By Ray Wheatley -- World of Boxing
Former Heavyweight champion Mike Tyson will find it dificult to be granted a visa into Australia according to Peter McGauran, the acting immigration minister who commented on Tyson's chance's of being allowed into Australia to continue his boxing career. "The immigration department had a video tape of an interview Tyson gave in 2003 when he denounced Desiree Washington - whom he was convicted of raping - and said he wanted to rape her and her mother." said McGauran. "Tyson described Washington as 'just a lying, reptilian, monstrous young lady.' That Holyfield incident was 1997 but only 18 months ago he claimed on national television, we've got the tape, that he was innocent of the rape of that Desiree Washington back in 1992 for which he served three years, but he now wished he'd raped both her and her mother. Now that's got to go to the protection and safety of the Australian community. We look at the nature and the seriousness of anybody's criminal conduct, we look at the protection of the Australian community and also what are community standards," he continued. "So even though he might have a cheer squad in Australia, that might be more than counter balanced by the expectations of the Australian community that he be refused a visa. What we can say is that in the past, people seeking to some to Australia with serious criminal convictions have been denied entry on character grounds." Tyson has employed Australian boxing great Jeff Fenech as his trainer.

...A bunch of ex-convicts denying entry to an ex-convict. lol lol lol Seriously though, I don't balme them. Good for them to actually have some high standards as to who is allowed into a great place like Australia.

Well, misunderstood maybe, but he's still a ****. It wouldn't surprise me if he were mildly retarded, actually. The speech impediment would imply this. I always liked his ring performances (well, most of them, anyway, when he wasn't hungry), but his personal life, and lack of self-control just put me completely off the guy years ago.

Yes, australia was originally peopled with England's convicts, but that was centuries ago, you assclown. Get over yourself. Australian people are about the coolest folks you're ever likely to meet.

You ever see a kangaroo box? They used to do that back in the old west days. It was a kind of sideshow thing. Those little bastards are tough as nails, man.

....gran, I never saw your post before now. I was joking about the convict thing. I like Aussies alot, and if I ever settled anywhere outside the states that's where I would want to be. Laid back, friendly, partying ****ers. What's not to like??
