They are fighting again on the 12th of March in Germany. This time he has to KHTFO or the same thing will happen.

WBC super middleweight interim champion Danny Green, who is currently training in Los Angeles, is looking forward to his March 12 WBC world title challenge against Marcus Beyer in Germany. Green lost his first world title challenge to Beyer on a controversial disqualification in August 2003. Green had Beyer on the canvas twice in that bout, but was was disqualified in the fifth round by referee Bill Clancy after the American official deemed the German fighter's cut eye was caused by an intentional head butt. Green said, "I genuinely believe this fight is going twelve rounds. People say 'You've got to knock him out to win in Germany,' well that's unfair and I think it's a silly thing to say. Because if I win the fight convincingly then I think the WBC's honor is on the line here. They realize that before, a mistake was made in the decision and the WBC have given the go ahead for the rematch. The whole world is watching this fight and I think whoever deserves to win is going to win and there's not going to be any rough decision just because it is in Germany. There's a lot of pressure on the WBC and the judges and the referee to do the right thing." Beyer has stated, "I only hope he remains fair this time," and Beyer's coach Ulli Wegner commented, "Markus can kayo Green and I am sure he would do it."

Thanks Moochi ... what a disgrace. I never liked Sauerland but this was just way over the top. I know that there are fighters (usually the ones that fight live on national television) who get protected but that's not a problem that is elusive to Germany. I understand anyone who shakes his head in disgust over that DQ but it really doesn't represent all of german boxing. Sadly though it's bull**** decision like these that take the spotlight away of the good and honest boxing that takes place as well.

I hope Danny Green doesn't lose his cool this time.

Could someone explain to me what was so controversial about this fight? How was it any different from Golota vs. Bowe I and II? The only thing controversial was how bad Beyer looked and how dumb Golota, I mean Green fought during the fight. The last time I checked holding behind someone's head and pushing him down when you throw punches, throwing 6 punches after the ref has yelled break, forearming your opponent to the neck and face, tackling, and intentionally headbutting are not legal.

Maybe I'm missing something here, and I'm still waiting for someone to explain it to me.

Did the Danny Green fans give up boxing or what? Why can't I get an answer here?

I haven't seen this fight and I've never seen this guy Green fight either. What happened that everyone is so upset about? So far, from what the previous poster has stated, if there was a DQ it seems like it was rightly done. But I dunno what happened and I can't get the fight, so I'd like that if someone could let me know what went down.
