(as a former Portland-ite this cracked me up)
Gambling ain’t what it used to be in the city of Portland. The dogs don’t run at the old Multnomah Greyhound Track anymore, so you’ll have to find somewhere else to get stabbed with a pocketknife. The Oregon lottery just doesn’t give you that sweet, out-of-control feeling you crave. Even the place where I used to go and watch the occasional ****fight has closed its doors. Thankfully, UFC 102 is coming down this weekend and bringing plenty of action with it. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Betting lines come to us courtesy of BestFightOdds.com (http://www.bestfightodds.com):

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (+150) vs. Randy Couture (-160)
Keith Jardine (-140) vs. Thiago Silva (+130)
Demian Maia (+157) vs. Nate Marquardt (-160)
Brandon Vera (-190) vs. Krzysztof Soszynski (+175)
Chris Leben (-135) vs. Jake Rosholt (+125)
Chris Tuchscherer (+301) vs. Gabriel Gonzaga (-345)
Justin McCully (+249) vs. Mike Russow (-260)
Tim Hague (+145) vs. Tom Duffee (-150)
Ed Herman (-130) vs. Aaron Simpson (+119)
Mark Munoz (-200) vs. Nick Catone (+190)
Evan Dunham (+120) vs. Marcus Aurelio (-140)

Rumor has it that Big Nog has been getting ko'd in sparring so it might pay off to bet on Randy. I also think Jardines akward striking style could give Silva alot of trouble and I'm picking Vera to beat Soszynski. If I had the money to spare I would make those bets but I'm flat broke.

On the televised card, all dogs win. Or the majority of them. Those are my picks. Straight dogs -- all.

I like Randy to win, but in my mind Nog. is not one to count out. The 33 year old may clean the 46 year old's clock in this case, is sort of what I'm thinking. And this is coming from a die hard Couture fan, who is picking Randy to win the fight (the heart says Randy, at least).

As for Jardine-Silva, I personally don't think too highly of Kieth. Silva is no world beater himself, however I think Jardine's credentials are a bit inflated, due to TUF hype, and his victory over Forrest Griffin.

I definitely like Vera over Soszynski.

Keith has that awkward style and could bother Silva but I think Silva should take it, he's a lot better on the ground aswell.

Noguiera will probably beat Randy but Randy will have his moments thats for sure.

Maia-Nate should be exciting... could go either way
