The Tekken vs. Streetfighter made me see that there's a ****load of good fighting games out there. But lets face them up against each other. Base our judgement on gameplay, characters, graphic and replay value. Which do you prefer? (If I missed a game or two.. Feel free to add it and say why it's the best)

For obvious reasons I'm not gonna include the FN series.. It would just wipe the other games away.

Mortal Kombat and Tekken are not deep enough for me.

MVC 2 is fun, as is KOF.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo is the greatest fighting game of all-time.

King of Fighters is underrated :(

Street Fighter and it's not even close. The originator and most influential fighting game franchise ever.

Another franchise I'll give props to for second place is Samurai Showdown. It's the only one outside of Street Fighter that really has its own identity to me.

How there can be any options besides Street Fighter is beyond me.

Tekken 5=Best 3d game

King of fighters/MVC2=Best 2d games.

But I'm gonna' come out and say it, since its release Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 has been my favorite 2d fighting game...hands down. I don't care the fact that it's broken as hell and I can't execute Cable's TKAHVB, or pull out infinites, ROMs or whatever else there is, the game is fantastic! Plus...the marvel scene is absolutely hilarious which adds to my fascination with it! :rofl:
