View Full Version : Hasim Rahman speaks up about the Heavyweight Divison on Ballroom Boxing
Slipx 03-01-2005, 09:58 PM Hasim Rahman: "I'm gonna take out Klitschko and clean out the Heavyweight division."
Does he really believe this? For a guy who became champ with a lucky punch, that's tough talk. Then again, you can't ever count out a puncher like Rahman..
neils7147933 03-01-2005, 10:02 PM Vitali still hasn't been tested. Rahman's been a champ. We'll see when they get in the ring. Rahman's KO of Lewis wasn't a fluke knockdown, though. Hasim won that fight and Vitali doesn't like being pressured. I think the Rahman we've seen post-Lewis and pre-Meehan gets TKO'd by Klitschko, but the Rahman from Lewis I and one who continued his tough training after Meehan has as good a shot as any heavyweight right now...
tnf1400 03-01-2005, 10:09 PM even tou he is my favorite heavy , i dont think he will beat klitscko.
Slipx 03-01-2005, 10:09 PM Rahman
that guy has to have the most marked up face I've ever seen...wonder what the hell happened to him
joeboxer 03-01-2005, 10:11 PM Of course he believes. He is one of the most over confident boxers ever. He honestly felt that he could knock out Lennox Lewis in their second fight without training.
Dr.Depravity 03-01-2005, 10:11 PM I just dont think he can get it done. I like Rahman and everything. I think he might get to a title fight, just not win it.
Floydmayweather 03-01-2005, 10:13 PM Vitali has a much better chin than Lewis first off. So if Rahman thinks he will connect one big shot to end the fight he is sadly mistaken. Vitali is gonna bust this guy up bad, yall well see.

him and cory spinks have dark rashes/welts on them.

I agree, however I always give Rahman a puncher's chance, a very small chance, just like I would with Tyson if he were to fight Vitali. I'd like to see this fight, if it ever happens.

i noticed that on spinks as well, a bit more minor than rahman but yeah, what the hell is that
joeboxer 03-01-2005, 10:26 PM I just dont think he can get it done. I like Rahman and everything. I think he might get to a title fight, just not win it.
Yo dude. He might get to a tile fight April 30th at the MGM grand.
Solid prediction there. (sarcasm implied)
neils7147933 03-01-2005, 10:31 PM This will be Rahman's fourth title fight for a major belt.
neils7147933 03-01-2005, 10:32 PM and it's in New York, according to Boxrec.
Tha Greatest 03-01-2005, 10:38 PM i think rahman has a good chance
and it will be a big test/fight/exciting fight for v. klit

Well Ive been caught sleeping on that one. :o
Rahman moved up to tenth in ratings I see. Seems not to long ago he was around 14th. I thought they would have Vitali fight a higher ranked fighter before a big name, what was I thinking?
freirui 03-02-2005, 12:27 AM Vitali will knock Rahman out cold!!!
Kid Achilles 03-02-2005, 12:39 AM Those are old wounds from knife fights. Rahman is a tough street guy, and he's gonna prove it when he knocks Vitali the **** out.
5th round KO, you heard it here first!

I don't know about Vitali not being tested, he took everything Lewis and Sanders threw at him and kept coming. I know that some people are going to say that Lewis was overweight, Sanders was fat, etc., etc. Still, that uppercut that Lewis threw at Vitali in 5, I think, could decapitate any HW out there, as well as some of Sander's bombs.

Apparently Neils missed those fights.
