marciano would run 5-6 every day without missing a day and walk up to 10 miles in the evening in the run up to a fight he would run 10 miles a day and in the last few weeks he would run 12-15 miles.
he would do loads of body weight exersizes and hit a 150 kg(300 pound) heavy bag for 1/2 an hour to 1 hour with out a break.
he had a ball on string above his bed and he would hit it to help his co ordanation he also used speed bags and other old training methods.

it was his trainer who invented punch pads by sewing some foam into a pair of gloves and marciano would punch them because he had bad acuracy.
he would tie some string to his feet linking them together while he spared or hit the bags to give him balance.

sounds dope man!

am thinking about using string to increase my balance, I be out of balance, especially when am backing out in sparring.

wow.

you know what I noticed?

that most of these heavy hitters hit the HeavyBag for a long time, I know its suppose to develop power, but I wonder if it develops more power if you do it for longer?

Jake could almost never find sparring partners, He was far too agressive and always took it too far. His partners hated sparring with him. also you left out the part about shadow boxing in a sauna because he could never make weight. he always put on tons of weight between fights then had to bust his ass to get it back off. Lamotta wasnt specifically known for being a "hard puncher" sure , he punched hard but people only really talked about his heart and chin. The guy had a HUGE melon and he was smart too, Just sayin, he aint no Shavers or something like that.

lamotta's style is alot like rocky balboa's from the films
he just takes hit again and again and still comes back for more thats his style he takes 2 to land 1.
also he boxed kids from his street when he was young and people would throw money into the ring and he would gather it up after and use it to pay bills no wonder he was so tough.

in Foremans comeback he had a solid routine..he was running 20 KM a day at one point..in his youth it was mostly bag work and sparring, he didn't have great stamina.

what is forgotten here is that marciano used running up and down hills to work his leg strength.

he wouldnt just do this you may think.

he would run up a steep hill, then back down but tread down the hill going backwards.
