Here in az we call them sonoran hot dogs. It like a hot with everything on it bacon avocado chili peppers onions etc

depending on the stand you'll have different topings on it.
some will rub brown sugar on the dog some wont.. some will cut into the dog and put a piece of american cheese in the middle of the dog and wrap the bacon over it..

for the most part it's grilled onions, grilled chile verde, mustard, mayonaise, ketchup, jalapeno if you want some.. and a little bit of butter.

We used to call them Danger Dogs or Dirty Dogs.. as you usually get them from someone cooking them of the street :D

They hella good....all that ****...the elotes the hotdogs...but I won't eat from them crazy vendors though...every time I leave the Staples Center they are out there....every now and then ill see an "Elotero" in his little shopping cart or what not and I just can't get myself to eat that ****...they say 4 out of every 10 people get hepatitis with those things...I don't like those odds!!!:frown:

These guys are controlled by the Department of Public Health and they all have a food handlers card. if 4 out of 10 people were getting hepatitis by consuming elotes, your local authorities woulld have done something about it a long time ago.

I noticed that the health department would come through often with a giant dump truck.
If you didn't have a license to sell and your **** wasn't up to par with the inspection standards they would confiscate your **** and trash it.

I'm guessing the city doesn't let unlicensed vendors outside of the Staples though I'm not sure.. I doubt 4 out of 10 get hep from that **** though.
