1. Old George Foreman (while it lacked true speed like ali's, george could KO you with a single jab, I'd prefer this type of jab over a speedy weak jab)

2. Muhammad Ali
3. Larry Holmes

IMO, Liston and Holmes are cemented in the 1 and 2 slots. In which order, i'm not sure. But those two possessed the best jabs i've ever seen. Liston's was pretty much equivalent to most fighter's right cross. While his was heavier, Holmes' was a piston: quick, stiff, and very disruptive to opponents. In a word, perfect.

George's jab was pretty powerfull but i still feel that Ali's jab should be rated no. 1 . The sting in Ali's jab would break his opponents over the course of the fight, his jab was his prime weapon the set up his victories.

I have to admit, I like George more than Holmes or Ali, and my opinion is biased a bit. Ali then Holmes is probably the proper form, especially if you are grading on jab snap and speed,(the whole point of the jab.)

george turned his jab into a full fledged straight power shot and learned to walk in with it like it's a straight right hand almost, and I admire that the most, is why I picked him as #1

1. Lennox Lewis.

his jab distanced himself from many decent opponents, especially power punchers. Lewis was china chinned, so he used his reach as a form of defense.

2. Larry Holmes.

Heavy jab, that was his primary weapon. Set up his right hand, which was his knockout punch.

3. Muhammed Ali.

Could throw his jab with literally the same amount of power as his right, when harboring bad intentions. What made his jab great, was when it was thrown in succession with left hook, and right hand.

its sooo funny how people put lennox lewis up at the top of things liek this. vitali's jab is better then lewis's why dont u put him up there.

1. Larry Holmes, I've yet to see anybody in the heavyweight class throw a jab as perfect as him.

2. Muhammed Ali, worked so well with his style

3. Sonny Liston, when you can hurt your opponent the way he did with a jab you've got quite a weapon.

Because Vitali Klitschko has never fought the same caliber opposition.

Im sorry, but a jab that beats up "Danny Williams" is not that decent. No matter how effective it is.

Vitali's jab is akward, and telographed.
