Ok, so getting punched in the face/nose is not anything new to me, but I've been hit with bombs that could probably knock some people off their feet, but lately in sparring i was hit square in the nose and my head snapped backwards, and my neck has been aching for a while, i stayed away from sparring for a while and did it again, same thing happened, and i can barely turn my neck 180. Is there any exercises I can do for my neck to strengthen it toughen it, not necessarily with weights, thanks in advance. :boxing:

without weights? you could head bang? Idk. I've heard having a thicker neck / having big traps helps a lot from having your head from snapping back. WHen i used to weight lift I liked doing barbell upright rows and shrugs, those are good for building those muscles.

Aside from neck harnesses and shrugs, you could take a towel put against your head (say the back of your head) then pull your head up against it and repeat.

well do that with out using your hands on the ground just use your neck to push your self up.

doing this is very eccentric and though you might not feel sore at the time if you over do it, the next day you wont even feel like moving your head. i wouldnt attempt this more then 5 times untill you figure out how many you can do before you get really sore.

when its cranked like yours is massage it often and work that **** outta there.

for the exercises just lay on a table with your shoulders at the edge with your head hanging off of it. Lift it straight up, touching your chin to your chest and then put it back down. repeat.

Turn over and lay on your stomach and do the same up and down. Do each way for 3-5 minutes. It will strengthen your neck good.................Rockin':boxing:
