View Full Version : [PLEASE HELP] Hey Limeys, I want to move to England

Considering moving to England in the next 3-5 years. What's the best city to live in? I like alot of culture so a city with with different ethnicities would be nice. The ladies gotta be fine, too.

How is Bristol? I only know this city cause of Portishead and Massive Attack, though :smashfrea

London is my #1 option but I would like some Limey input.

Thanks, cunts. :fing02:

Outer-London prices;

Rough prices, best ask someone who lives in London and pays bills. This is from April 08, we're in a recession now... So...

Have you seen Green Street Hooligans? How much is that sweet pad they live in? Elijah Wood's sister and husband that is. Looks pricey as hell, I'm sure of that. What part of London is the cheapest?

If you don't want to fork out a bomb in living costs avoid london completely and move somewhere in the north of england. If you're after the quiet country life then cornwall and devon are good but both expensive places to live. Liverpool and Manchester are both great city's provided you avoid the ghetto parts and won't be that expensive to live in. Liverpool was the european capital of culture in 2008 as you mentioned you were after a place with culture. Bristol is ****e, full of farmers and inbreds don't even consider moving there.

I could only recommend London if you can afford the price of living, it's got everything a capital of a country should have.

It's a big place, I live approximately 10 miles out of London in South East London where rent and prices of houses are cheaper than central London.

You can get to the centre of London in approximately 30 minutes on a train.

I've only been to Birmingham once, I haven't had any reason to go there really!

I might be wrong but it seems like a place with a lot division between races as there is a large Asian (Indian, Pakistani, etc) community who don't like to mix with other races.

Pretty much everything here is covered, London is best if you want to have something different to do or see everyday, there is always something going on. Stay clear of Brixton and Peckham. I live in Blackheath, and my flat is £900 a month, for a one bedroom!! Best bet is to hook up in some student digs in New Cross or somewhere, its not overly nice but not too dangerous. Cheap accomodation though and access to trains and buses.
