I think this might have been the best welterweight fight of the 1990s

Not exactly the best champs out there, but good fighters and a great fight with both guys hurt numerous times, and a dramatic KO.

Simon Brown-Maurice Blocker was a good fight, but not as good as Davis-Breland IMO.

The highlight below doesn't quite do the fight justice as it's only the latter part of the 8th round and then the 9th, but worth watching anyway.

before this fight, everyone was hailing Mark Breland as the best welterweight following his impressive KO win off the faded Lloyd Honeygan, people were beginning to think of a Simon Brown-Mark Breland match up until "superman" scores this unlikely victory.
