Ron Artest, tough defensive player of the Indiana Pacers. Just punched a fan in the face in Detroit, Stephen Jackson and Jermain O'Neal got into the melee too.

he should have stayed down, getting punched out by one famous baller isn't as good as getting beatdown by two, i guess

Artest's punch on the friend of the fan who was attacked first didn't land. That's why he threw another, which didn't land either...but the guy slipped on the floor from all the soda and juice what was spilled. When he got up, Jermain O'neal hit him, and fell from the same soda what was on the floor. Artest never landed a clean shot..

I'm going with Artest over Tarver.

Tarver's big win came over the over-hyped Jones. Hell, Glencoffe Johnson beat Jones.

Now Artest, on the other hand, displayed great defensive skills by evading Wallace, then he took his minute rest on the scorer's table and went on to score two KOs in less than two minutes! He first demolished the wrong guy in the stands and after that he slammed that heavyweight who went onto the court. This guy Artest is goooooooood.

Artest is a great defensive specialist who can take on three of the best the NBA has to offer. He'd have no problem with Tarver. Artest by KO in the second.

Don't forget Jones still has enough skill and reflex to beat anyone in any sport except UFC

he may not get much, the fans instigated it. Artest wasnt getting involved in the altercation, although he was being a lil ****y by laying on the scorers table. Fans started throwin ****, in all reality, he could sue the fans. They started it.

Ben Wallace should have punched Artest instead of pushing him.
Just to give him a good lesson :p

Those two people won't earn or get that much suing Artest and O'neil in fact they my not get anything at all . . . take note of this basic fact . . . these two Piston fans were inside the hard court when confronted by the players. If that punching incident happened in the gallery then it's another story.

This is silly, I pick the professional, world champion boxer who makes his living by fighting over the basketball player. Come on, how could someone think that a basketplayer, who is not Shaq and immensely huge, could have a chance against a very good, world class boxer? And a fairly large one at that.

I think Ben Wallace has one punch KO power(judging by the strength of the push, I know it sounds dumb...) if he would have punched Artest and knocked him out, the whole thing wouldn't have happened..

I think it would last as long as Tarver wanted it to last. Remember when Ed "Too Tall" Jones took up boxing and got schooled by Ali? He had rope burns on his back from being stuck on the ropes, taking volley after volley from Ali.

i think this thread is meant to be a joke.. but from that melee, i saw jackson and o'neal throw some pretty mean shots, better than the ones from artest...

Can we have Ricky Williams ref this fight? We could even take it over to him...the Brawl in Bangkok.

After the match everyone can pilfer from Ricky's stash and chill out a bit.

Artest, Jackson & O'neal could be taken out by Tarver in one night.
