Just got back from Thorpe park today as i had a half price ticket so thought i would go with a few mates. I have been on a lot of rides across Europe and i have to admit that i found most of the rides at Thorpe Park tame including that new Saw Ride (there is one in Wales that is better imo), I am not really into theme parks as much any more but i still like Blackpool Pleasure Beach even if it is a bit of a dump. The Grand National is still the most fun ride in the uk imo. I like wooden rollercoasters.

I've been Alton Towers and Drayton Manor, both good but Alton Towers is the best i've been to. You have to wait along time for the big rides though

Today i had to wait 90mins to get on Saw, and 80mins to get on another ride. The 3 times i have been to Blackpool there was almost no waiting time at all and i got pissed in the bars near by after. My driving is more scary than any theme park ride lol.

In Laddie's backyard, there is an obstacle course where you have to run through a gaunlet of whiskey bottles being thrown at you.

I like the sound of this.

I've been to Chessington and Thorpe Park, both good, though Thorpe park is the better of the 2 by far.
Alton towers looks amazing and i've always wanted to go, the big rides look a lot better than anywhere else. I hear it's a great park.

haha I just got back from Thorpe Park , I took my little bro. I thought Stealth was wicked. We were on the first go, cos we got there really early, I hadnt seen the ride do a circuit before I got on and I wasnt expecting it to start off that fast. I couldnt breathe until the top where I shouted **** and then couldnt breathe again! :lol1:

I think Alton Towers is still the best, but Thorpe Park has definitely got better than it was the last time I was there (7 years ago).

LOL oh ****!!! I have no shame in saying I would have brown stuff streaming out of me if that happened when I was on it!!

It is a brilliant ride tho, I'd rate it as the best in the UK (and I've been on a fair few, not the blackpool rollercoaster tho :(). It only lasts about 10 seconds but its one of the few rides that would be worth the wait! The funny thing was, I was holding on for dear life, while me 10 year old brother had his hands in the air laughing his head off

Apart from Stealth, the other rides are ok, but defnitely not worth queing for ages tho, that Rush ride was ok and we never had to queue for more than 15 minutes to get on it. Alton towers still wins tho, cos it has the most 'good rides' in one space IMO. Never been to Drayton manor, is it any good?

lol yeah there is a clip on you tube of one in America getting stuck right at the top that one is twice the height of stealth as well and doesn’t have any over head restraints, this bloke has to come up on a little lift and push it down lol will post it up when i get home. From all the rides in the uk I have been on i would probably rate them as follows. I haven’t been to Drayton Manor yet though, I think they have got a stand up rollercoaster there if I remember rightly.

Best Launch: Stealth (Thorpe Park)
Best Drop: Pepsi Max (Blackpool)
Most Fun: Grand National (Blackpool)
Best Inverted Ride: Nemesis (Alton Towers)

Alton Tower are supposed to be building a new roller coaster for next year.
