from Wrestling 365 newsletter:

At this point most WWE wrestlers are under the impression that the
planned 6/12 ECW One Night Stand PPV will still go ahead. An official
announcement is expected soon after Wrestlemania. On a related note,
(and this started off as nothing more than talk) a group backed by Shane
Douglas has booked the ECW Arena in Philly on 6/10 for an ECW tribute
show. Raven, Sandman and Francine are just some of the former talent who
have committed to Douglas' show. Tommy Dreamer, representing the WWE,
has been contacting various guys all week offering dollar figures for
appearances and made it clear that they wouldn't be welcome on the WWE
PPV if they appeared on Douglas' show two days earlier. I guess the war
is on...

Wonder if Paul Heyman is allowed to run the WWE show however he wants? If not, Douglas's show could be better. What if WWE can't get Sandman, Raven, Francine (linked to Shane's group), as well as Sabu, Terry Funk, Chris Candido, Justin Credible, Jerry Lynn, etc.

Then the WWE card is just that - a WWE card. We see The Dudleys and RVD and Tazz and ****e and depending how far they go back, Benoit, Guerrero, maybe Foley & Austin, Jericho...

The show shouldn't include anyone who jumped to WWE before Taz did...

Opinions?

Actually Heyman was removed from the ecw ppv, I think Stephanie will be running the show possibly Shane.

WWF is also contacting older Ecw talent for the ppv, Although RVD and Tazz is doing commentary (weak)

I think Shane Douglas ECW ppv will school the WWF one easily...I would expect vintage hardcore action from Douglas show, while the wwf will put The Blue Meanie against Sabu in a steel cage match *ooooohh aaaaaahh* I think the wwf will be mediocre.

Balls Mahoney better make an appearance atleast at one of them.

Without Heyman, they shouldn't even do the show. What a disgrace.

I know and RVD as a commentator, UGLY.

"Yeah dude, what we have here is Sabu throwing a guy through a table man"

God it would be awful.

Im sure Heyman is still connected to the wwf in some format, but it would be sweet if he teamed up with Douglas to work on his show. But the wwf will ruin the ECW image forever if they do that show. Their isnt any possible way it can be decent by any means.

We atleast have to have Tazz yelling mother****er on the mic atleast once.

Where did you get your info with the announcers and all that? Apparently WWE hasn't made anything official yet...

...and how are they going to do a show without this guy calling the action?

Im loyal to WrestleZone and they have never reported bogus info, so I stick with them.

Also on top of that RVD is on the injured list and said he wont be ready for the ppv...So what would an ECW ppv be without RVD? He has to be their in some capacity.
