So who do you think wins this one?

Personally I think they are pretty closely matched, however I actually give Tua the edge in power, durability and Heart, I think Tua outlasts Tyson in a slugfest and slowly turns Tysons brains into mush.

Of course you favour David Tua.Nobody debates that a prime David Tua beats a Prime Lennox Lewis like one would argue that a prime Mike Tyson knocks out a prime Lennox Lewis. You're an annoying turd who happens to be an insecure lennox lewis fan.Who feels the need to consistently try and discredit the likes of Mike Tyson and Riddick Bowe,Two men who in their primes many think would have beaten Lennox Lewis.I don't necessarily agree with that but it is what others happen to believe.Time to grow up,son.Time to grow up and realize people have different opinions

you got well above 5k posts and id say a good portion of that 3k (or is it more?) has been split into directing your rather vile view on tyson with every breath of hate that you could muster in your useless lungs.

oh and by the way, the fighter who's **** you dream of having rammed up your rotten hairy HIV acne pimpled ass hole shares a different view on the man. In fact in the latest Ring edition where he gives the interview he says he rates tyson very big on his heart, and acknowledges him being a great fighter, as well as one of the bravest man he fought for taking the kind of punches he did.

ive always been amazed at people like you, who toss the term 'bum' around like it's a frisbie. I dont know how you guys get the pleasure of criticising another athlete who is ten times the man that you could ever dream of being.

and that doesnt only apply for tyson but for every fighter who gets dirt tossed at him from people that would never have the testicles to sit in a locker room for 5 minutes much less bring their lazy ass in the ring.

Tua? no way how do you expect him to take all those elbows from tyson.nah, i think tua can take em, what im more concerned with is punches after the bell, ear bites, or arm break in a clinch. but im sure that tua can finish the job before the rapist cunt tries any of his dirty tricks.

think about if buster the bum douglas could beat tyson, tua would murder the overated midget.

tua ko 1.

I dont know i guess tua could throw in some headbutts but thats just asking to get your ear bit off.

i dont remember if it was tyson or dempsey but for like 4 rounds straight they threw punches after the bell. they did win the match though i think thats just 1 more reason why tua couldnt handle a prime tyson....tua's only chance would be to headbutt tyson and sacrafice his ear so tyson gets dq'd

their power is equal.

mike had the speed and skills advantage.

tua however had the better chin and probably more heart and stamina. maybe that'll be enough.

i think this would be a very close fight, but I have to say tyson probably would win this fight against tue, because hes is 10 cm bigger

I go for peak 1988 Tyson on points, in the late 90s, early 2000s its more of a pickem fight. I'd maybe shade Tua over any Tyson post 1996, but Tyson was well past his prime then.

I'm very suprised so many think that Tua takes this one. I'll bet no one who has picked him to KO Tyson is over 35! Watching peak Tyson in the mid to late 80s was something else, the guy was terrific.

Tua is very overated and has lost every time he has fought above class C opponents with the exception of an old Michael Moorer and catching John Ruiz cold, Mike Tyson would do a similar job to what Felix Savon done on David Tua, blow him away in the opening round.

Tyson. Mike's straight ahead speed, explosiveness, and combination punching give him a big edge over Tua. I think Tua's chin is too good for a straight out KO but I see him getting beat up to the point where the referee stops it, probably in the middle rounds. Tua had enough power that I wouldn't entirely rule out him stunning Tyson with a left hook and jumping on him prompting the ref to step in.....but I wouldn't put money on it.

For any arse acting like Tua is a robot that cannot be hurt, watch the end of the second Rahman fight. He received a left hook right on the button, he did not see coming and crumbled on the canvas. It was after the bell but that's irrelevant. When Tua becomes aggressive, he can be countered and hurt badly, like I saw against Ibeatahoochi and Rahman.

Tyson is fast enough to do so. Tyson by KO in the opening seconds of round 1.

tua had more stamina because he fought at his own pace, and of course him constantly going up in weight worsened his conditioning. Im a fan of Tua as well as Mike, but ive seen fights where Tua would tire in the later rounds even back when he was 220ish.

their chins were equal, dont let the Lewis fight fool you that Tua went 12 rounds where Mike was ktfo. Tua did take punishment and gave a balsy performance, but took nowhere near the vicious punishment that Mike took. Lenny was moving back from Tua allowing him be the ineffective agressor, while piling away the points on his jab. Against Tyson from second round on he was moving forward and pushing Mike back while letting his right hand score early.

Lazy Lennox showed up against Tua. If you need to look further than that for proof just remember that Lewis-Tua was a boring fight, while Tyson-Lewis was a massacre. I doubt Tua would remain on his feet against Lennox that showed against Tyson. Lewis himself said that it was the most he ever been motivated for any fight with exception to Rahman rematch.

And i also wonder in which fight Tua demostrated he had more heart than Mike?

In fact Tyson's chin was better. He has never been knocked down with 1 single punch to the head unlike mr crappy haircut. It took a huge amount of flush power punches for a long time to take him down. Tua is lucky he hasn't taken such a beating yet.

I don't think an 18 year old kid taking an early stoppage from one of the greatest amateur HWs ever (in his absolute prime) should be held against him. I'd favor Mike, based on advantages in skills and speed, but saying this one ends in the first is absurd.
