My brother in law just got free tickets to Smackdowns road to wrestlemania tour stopping in Columbus Ohio THIS SUNDAY. He isnt into wrestling but asked if I wanted them, It is on a short notice and booking a hotel may be a problem. The hotel would dip into my already low vacation fund but they are free tickets. They are section 110 (lower bowl) row F seats 7 and 8

As you can see their, they may be ok seats but the venue is freaking large.
It would also mean a 2 hour drive for me, I am not to high up on wrestling although they are free tickets. Here is the matchups as well.
WWE Championship
Big Show vs. JBL
Undertaker vs. Luther Reigns
United States Championship
John Cena vs. Orlando Jordan
Booker T vs. Heidenreich
WWE Tag Team Title Match
Bashams vs. Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio
Charlie Haas & Hardcore Holly vs. Joey Matthews & Johnny Nitro with Melina
4-Way for the Cruiserweight Championship
Funaki vs. Paul London vs. ****e Dudley vs. Chavo Guerrero
Miss SmackDown! Best Body Contest
Miss Jackie vs. Dawn Marie

Also scheduled to appear: SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long, Mark Jindrak

Turn them down. Its just a regular t.v taping and its not worth booking a hotel for. If you can find someone to stay with, than go. If not, don't bother.
P.S I am not a WWE fan anymore, but I still remember enough about it to help you out.
Sale the tickets, put them in the paper....

That's a pretty weak card. You might take a cab to and from a cheap hotel on the outskirts of town, but I imagine staying downtown Columbus will be expensive considering the event...

Yeah the card wasnt all that appealing to me either, I havent seen Mysterio wrestle live so that could be a site to see but probably not worthy of the trip. I did find a hotel in downtown columbus 8 miles from the arena for 50 bucks a night...It looks decent but its only a night so for walls and a shower is all I would need.
My brother in law always tries to gain my acceptance so it would probably be kind of rude if I turned them down....But damn the card just sucks ass. I dont know if I could last 3 hours through that.

Keep in mind that matches are at least 10 minutes and main events are twenty plus at a PPV, but I've heard of house show main events being just a couple minutes. Good thing about house shows is you'll have good seats and it's more intimate (most shows have only four digits in attendance) - and you can see up and coming guys and experimental combos, gimmicks to test how the audience reacts, how guys work together, etc.
Still, it looks like a lot of "squashes" to go 3 hours. I know there's an intermission...

The cruiserweights 4-way looks like the best match. But hey, house shows are house shows. I'd go if I got the tickets and was free that day and within a reasonable driving distance...

Every past event I have been to (mind you it was wwf) Lasted about 3 hours long...The wrestlers were constantly getting on the mic and talking during the match, it kills the moment and was god awful but that was during the attitude era.
Eh, I need to do some shopping anyways up in Columbus it might be worth a look.

Smackdown is the weaker brand to see live i think. Guerrero and Mysterio would really be the only two guys worth checking out

Possibly so, Undertaker has no attraction what so ever but it could be his last year so it might be worthy....Also on a side note, If JBL comes out with the Limo (which I doubt) I will be totally hyped about that....I love him ripping off of Ted Dibiase...Im hoping for being a huge arena (20k) they will have some form of setup...But I doubt it.
