well chop chop looks ripped but he does appear more tense.
well never seen chop chop so cotto win for me...
no vbookies for this.
spose b-hops fights to blame
Kid Achilles 02-25-2005, 09:28 PM Corley has a great physique. I don't think it will matter against Cotto though.
phallus 02-25-2005, 09:45 PM Corley has a great physique. I don't think it will matter against Cotto though.
exactly, being buff don't mean **** when u're in front of a guy who can punch. if Corley puts up a good fight we might learn some things about Cotto before Chop Chop gets knocked out
jack_the_rippuh 02-25-2005, 09:53 PM Cotto isn't Tito for all of you people who are even beginning to think that..
P.S. Hahaha Chop Chop has receeding hairline.
Borikua, ready to lose?
That 2nd face-to-face tells all. Cotto looks like the fighter, Corley the poser.

How about betting me. :boxing:
jack_the_rippuh 02-25-2005, 10:01 PM I can't afford..But you can't count on me betting against you when Winky fights Trinidad, no I don't think Winky can beat 'em, but I want to see Trinidad lose so bad that I'm putting my points on it..

enadeus 02-25-2005, 10:25 PM Cotto looks like a litte kid compared to Corley.
Marjoh 02-25-2005, 10:59 PM Monday Night Fight. Seems kinda odd.
jack_the_rippuh 02-25-2005, 11:05 PM I'm really starting to have a strong feeling that Cotto is going to get stopped in the 5th...
I think Corley is going to TKO him..

I agree with you on that. This could be an upset, especially if this fight goes past the 6th round. I don't think Cotto's stamina is all that great.
I love boxing, the sport is so crazy. Cotto looks smaller then Chop in those pics and overnight he will put on a hundred pounds and look twice as big as Chop in the ring

I know, he's gonna look like Jermaine Taylor by fight night!!!! He puts on sooooo much weight after the weigh in. That's why he & Tsyzu are so much stronger than alot of the natural 140 lbs'ers.

I know you think Chop Chop is a nice guy and all, but Cotto is gonna beat the **** out of him.
Slipx 02-26-2005, 12:09 AM anybody feel like betting?
i got 5mil on corley
Kid Achilles 02-26-2005, 12:16 AM To all of you who are changing your minds based on these pics, how many times does a big muscled guy have to get knocked out by a scrawny soft looking guy before you realize muscle dosen't win boxing matches?
Slipx 02-26-2005, 12:28 AM fyi I'm not doing that based on the pics
but based on the opposition both fighters have faced
pics played 10% of the decision

Which way is your post directed. Im guessing your saying that Cotto will KO Chop but we all know that on fight night Cotto will not be a scrawny soft looking guy. He will be the much bigger man thats why your comments doesnt make that much sese to me
anybody feel like betting?
i got 5mil on corley
yeah ill stake 5mil on cotto no problem,
straight bet?
i got plenty more too.
Cotto is looking alittle soft in the mid section, nice pics
I wish I looked that soft!!
jayschre 02-26-2005, 03:36 AM anybody feel like betting?
i got 5mil on corley
Oh yes, if you are seriuos than I definately will accept :D
I know you think Chop Chop is a nice guy and all, but Cotto is gonna beat the **** out of him.
Corley will, in fact, have the **** beat from his body. He has some skills and is a capable fighter, but he's peaked man. Cotto is not moving sideways in this game, he's working his way up smart. And, he's bringing better conditioning/stamina each time.
The Corley supporters point to things they believe Cotto lacks. Maybe they should turn this around and mention what Corley brings to this fight. If it's Cotto's lack-of-stamina that makes the Corley fans excited, then talk about it, and keep talking about it when their guy is getting the **** kicked out of him in the late rounds, if it goes there.
This is, like always, about styles and Cotto's style is to beat guys like Corley. It will be a bit of a fight though. You can't discount Corley's stongest asset, his experience with first-tier opponents. Or, should I say, his experience getting beat by first-teir opponents?.
... we all know that on fight night Cotto will not be a scrawny soft looking guy.
This talk of weigh-in body fat is strange. The judges will be looking at a fight, not a pose down. So what if Cotto is fighting a guy who is ready for a bodybuilding show. I suppose Corley will "look good" whether standing and posing, or when he's eventually lying on his back.
cotto looks drained , as usual.
rmember he s gonna put 14 POUNDS back at fight time , he will be WAY bigger than corley.
just look at cotto ' s body in all his fights before and after weigh in , he puts back at lot of water in his system.
cotto mid rounds KO .
Kid Achilles 02-26-2005, 11:19 AM I'll tell you right now, Cotto is not going to look bigger/more muscular than Corley come fight night. You guys are nuts. Not that it's going to matter; Cotto is going to beat the **** out of him.
Super_Lightweight 02-26-2005, 12:49 PM Cotto needs to move up within his next few fights. He only made weight after the third try. He weighed in at 140.2 the first try, weighed in higher at 140.3 the second time, and finally made it on his third try.
147 is in the near future for sure. I don't like the look of Corley's face, he looks old and his cheekbones are so definitive he could cut and swell easily. I guess that's why he wears makeup, to make himself look more youthful.
(^_^)
I really do like Corley as a fighter, and I will be rooting for him, but Cotto shoul win this fight unless he is extremely ****ed up from trying to make weight.
IwatchBoxing 02-26-2005, 01:01 PM Corley has allways been a good fighter, his thing is to seperate the fakes from the elite, I belive Cotto will pass this test to move on to Harris. He lost to Mayweather last year, he shouldnt be much rustier than when he faced him.
Corley beat Darryl Tyson with a record of 50-13-1, in his last fight.
I'll tell you right now, Cotto is not going to look bigger/more muscular than Corley come fight night. You guys are nuts. Not that it's going to matter; Cotto is going to beat the **** out of him.
I dont get what your saying. He wont be as cut or defined as Chop but he will be the much bigger man
jpboxer3 02-26-2005, 01:18 PM I pick Corley because Cotto doesn't have the speed to frustrate him like Zab and PBFs did.I think Corley will do alot better than Ndou, who came pretty close to beating the tiring Cotto.I can see Corley boxing circles around Cotto and winning a close decision.
dont worry cotto will TKO him in 8, mark my words
trinidadpr87 02-26-2005, 04:06 PM anybody feel like betting?
i got 5mil on corley
How about 1mil. :bottle:
does anyone know if, and who will be fighting on the undercard?
IwatchBoxing 02-26-2005, 06:11 PM does anyone know if, and who will be fighting on the undercard? :confused:Might be no undercard, my Direct- TV says its from 10:30 PM to 11:50 PM, and it says Juan Marquez takes on Manny Pacquiao
Might be no undercard, my Direct- TV says its from 10:30 PM to 11:50 PM, and it says Juan Marquez takes on Manny Pacquiao
at least it does not read: "Tyson V.S. Lewis".
simeraksou 02-26-2005, 07:06 PM I'd say Cotto by mid-round KO or TKO
Slipx 02-26-2005, 07:18 PM P.S. Hahaha Chop Chop has receeding hairline.
yeah, that **** is grostesque
if that ever happens to me, and it starts making me look bad, like corley, i'd just shave my head bald like b-hop
its funny how cotto always looks like a big head little kid at the weigh in's..then looks like a short chubby guy during fight time
its funny how cotto always looks like a short chubby guy during fight time
I havent noticed that. I have noticed a man in excellent physical condition though.
