yea that 1st clip is a good one because its after all 3 fights, you see they were rivals but definitely didnt hate each other.....after retirement probably when people started loving ali more is when frazier got mad.....

Regardless of what ali said frazier certainly wasn't dumb.He knows when to use the ali feud for money or attention. It's been a regular theme over the past twenty years,Frazier says something bad about ali...then they get pictured smiling together at a basketball game,Two years later frazier says something bad about ali...three months later he forgives ali and loves him like a sibling

Take their "feud" with a pinch of salt.Take their supposed former friendship with the tiniest grain of salt also

Ali and Frazier have had a very complicated relationship over the years. For anybody other than the men themselves to claim knowledge of it's workings would be an outright lie.

Joe Frazier really disliked Ali.....

He was furious that Ali kept calling him an Uncle Tom before the 1st fight, and a Gorilla before the Thrill' in Manilla.

Frazier admits to not giving Ali a rematch after the Fight of the Century because of Ali running off at the mouth.Frazier said Ali was full of sh**t.He was flat out offered $800,000 dollars to fight George Forman or 5 million to fight Ali.He took the $800,000 doallars and was destroyed by George Forman.

Frazier did not give Ali a rematch for 3 years! And that is because George Forman said he would fight the winner.

Frazier refused to call Ali by his name Muhammad Ali,and always referred to him as Clay. Not for many many years after they both retired did Frazier finally call him Muhammad.

Muhammad Ali actually liked Joe Frazier. He called everybody names that he fought, but Frazier took it personally. The thing Frazier hated worse was that Ali turned the black people against him.

Frazier had real hatred for Ali,but Ali was just pretending that he hated Frazier, when he truly liked and admired Joe.

Frazier stuck up for Ali when he was banned from boxing. He even helped him financially once I believe. But after Ali got his licence back, he forgot all this and turned his back on Joe. Suddenly Joe was nothing but a stupid, ugly ape to him. At least that's what he said. Who wouldn't get angry and hateful? I sure would. Calling someone like Frazier a "white man's champion" must be a truly great insult.

Indeed.

Let's also not forget that stunt Ali pulled in Manila with the firearm ; meant to scare Frazier.

Ali is nowhere near the saint he's been portrayed as in popular culture.

For every good thing he's done (and there's been many), there's a bad thing to go hand in hand with it.

The ugliness he showed towards Frazier was something truly sick, IMO. And one of Ali's wives once said that when she asked Ali what he really felt about Joe Frazier, his response was something like ; "I think he's a damn ******".

HBO may have exaggerated it a bit as they usually do with their Documentaries, but the event itself has been questioned by nobody.

Why am I not surprised that you would be the first one to question it? :lol1:

You're not suprised because I don't fall for such bull**** unlike most so called boxing fans. And someone with such a limited mental capacity as yourself simply cannot understand as such. This is also a guy who thinks lie detector tests are a legitimate and reliable source of uncovering the truth so one can only be so frustrated with such stupidity

Am I supposed to be angry now, or what?

Love the way you avoided my comment almost completely and went off in another direction entirely. :fing02:

They might have been good friends at times, maybe even today, but during the first fight Frazier wanted to knock Ali's head off. Even during the second fight Frazier disliked Ali very much.

You mean in the same sense that you avoided my claims of you contradicting yourself? Is that what you meant?

I don't think your angry,Most likely embarrassed that someone bothers to point out the continued flaws in your arguments

Embarassed? Hardly.

I'm flattered that you devote your time to my posts.

Both here, and in NSB.

I love having groupies.

Ali didn't seem to hold any grudge against Frazier, everything he did was hype and promotion related. Frazier took all that personally. It was a very one sided hateful relationship. Now, after everything they went through against each other they are friends, but not exactly great friends.

Frazier stuck up for Ali when he was banned and tried to help him get a license for only one good reason.....So he could get him in the ring and tear his head off.It wasn't like he was trying to help Ali,he had wanted to fight him BAD since 1966,because only by beating Ali would he be the "true" Champion.Joe wanted to help Ali get a license only for his own benifit. All the while still calling Muhammad Ali Clay!

Muhammad Ali called all his opponents names. He made fun of all of his opponents. In fact,he called The Big ugly Bear(Sonny Liston)more names and made more fun of him than Frazier. But only Frazier took it personally.Joe actually started the name calling in 1966 calling Muhammad Clay, and repeatadly kept calling him Clay from 1966 to 1975!! Frazier got what he deserved.

Usually when you feel someone's post is wrong you respond with an argument that contradicts their original statements,Something you failed to do.You know what we call them? EMPTY POSTERS!

Some people base their knowledge and understanding of boxing and it's history outside of HBO

Imagine that

I've opened the eyes of many deluded fools that prowl along these gusty forums.I run along with the motto "Boxing without Bull****".A motto that unfortunately is not preached or followed.Unforuntately ignorant noobs are their for their whiny little voices to be heard by the uneducated, second class masses. But aslong as I am here the bull**** lies, myths and half truths will only get so far.Especially on my forums
