This Matchup Isnt Your Typicle Fantasy Fight, But

I Would LOVE to See it.

I Really have a Respect For Max Baer, History hasnt been Great To Him, He is fairly under rated, Mostly Due To his Personality and aprouch to the Sport, But i rate him, And I beleave on His Best Night he would give Mike a run for his Money, Mike would have to watch out for the Right Hand, It has Kill all over it.

Love to Hear some Opinions.

Max would kill Tyson. If he was focused enough. His main problem was that his heart wasn't in boxing. It was in clowning, lol. And partying.

If Max had had 100% focus there is no telling how much of an impact he would have made.

Max Baer was a destroyer when serious (which wasn't often). While I think he'd give Mike a tough fight I don't see him winning even if serious: Just not enough tools and way to easy to hit. Maybe he'd take a fight or two if they fought ten times.

Max was great at his time, but he was sloppy (watch the Schmeling and Carnera fights), and he was one dimensional. He had power in his right, but was flat footed and always seemed off-balance. Tyson was fast, had great head movement, and more power than Baer could handle. I'd say Tyson by K.O. in 3.

Max was never stopped so fast, not even by Joe Louis. Louis is regarded one of the greatest punchers in the game. I doubt Tyson, not among the top 5 punchers in history, could KO him in 3.

I know that Louis was a better puncher, no argument here, but I cannot see him being a harder puncher. Also, Louis had a controlled pace when he fought, Tyson on the other hand was like a bull. Louis probably could've taken Baer out sooner if he had rushed in, but that wasn't his style.

I'm sure that I will get some argument about this next statement, but Spinks, and Holmes, were never knocked out and were stunned by Tyson's speed, aggresion, and power. Holmes lasted 4 rounds, and Spinks only 91 seconds. So a quick K.O. would've been Tyson's first objective. The only guys who lasted long in Tyson's prime were fighters with good movement, but Baer wasn't one of them.
