What a day for trades huh.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&id=1998426

76'ers get: Chris Webber, Matt Barnes, Micheal Bradley

Kings get: Kenny Thomas, Corliss Williamson, Brian Skinner

This deal makes ZERO sense for The Kings. At first I thought all the gusy the Kings were getting had deals that would be up soon and it was for cap room, but they dont!!!

Wlliamson has 2 years left on his deal
Thomas has 5 years left
Skinner has 2 years left.

They didn't even get Dalembert!! Sac is getting nothing in return not even money. Just a flat out joke of a trade.

you beat me to it :D terrible trade for the kings but i guess they wanted peja more than webber. the guys they got in return are bench warmers at best. you would think the kings could get better value for a guy who has been an allstar 6 times.EDIT i just seen your post says that thomas has 5 years left on his contract  that makes the trade evn more discusting. this could be one of the most lopsided deals in the past decade

Kenny Thomas is getting $39 million over the next five years.

This deal makes no sense whatsoever for The Kings.

who approved this trade? did the maloofs know this was going to happen? the trade is stupid the kings have no chance of winning a title now. peja is trash in the playoffs and he couldnt possibly lead a team. the kings will tank fron now till the end of the season.

Yeah the Maloofs made the deal. Maybe the single worst trade I have ever seen.

Sixers will make it to the playoffs and will even give Miami and Pistons a run for their money! on the other hand, sacramento will lose a lot in the front court! what a turn of event this is, I love the NBA!!

More trade action today as Glen Robinson was shipped to New Orleans for Jamal Mashburn and Rodney Rodgers. Also Baron Davis traded to the Warriors and Antione Walker back to the Celtics for Gary Payton

Bad trade by Boston. I'm happy to see Antoine Walker going back there, but I just think they gave up too much to get him there..The scrubs they gave away aren't bad, but the draft pick is..

They said on TNT that a deal was done to send Cassell to Houston for Juwaun Howard, but the Rockets pulled out at the last minute and no one wanted Spree they couldn't move him even though they wanted to.

Golden State will always suck its in there nature to suck. Dunleavy is a joke, Murphy and Davis are forever hurt.

I read a peice on Golden State a few days ago from a writer up there talking about what could have been if they had run the orginization the right way.

PG. Gilbert Arenas
SG. Jason Richardson
SF. Antwon Jamison
PF. Amare Stoudemire
C. Eric Dampeire

They let Arenas and Jamison go, they were all set to draft Stoudemire but got scared off at the last minute and went safe with Dunleavy and they also let Dampeire go.

this is silly, walker was a celtics before and then he left for mavericks and now he's back again. why did he leave in the first place, was it his choice, of course, it is!

Webber is one of the biggest underachievers in the league. The sixers will probably get one good year out of him.
