To me these 12 rappers are the best of the best. Not that i'm a fan of all 12 of these artists. but i think theres a difference between being great, and being in that elite group. For example, AZ is great and a legend to me. But that doesn't mean hes part of what I hold as the elite group. Slick Rick was a great story teller and a legend, but he also in my opinion doesn't fit the ELITE group. Being in the ELITE group to me means when you think about hip hop these are the rappers who really made the biggest impact and deserve the most praise. and remember this is the elite 12 RAPPERS of all time in my opinion. thats why wu-tang, NWA and Run DMC are not in this list. I'm not talking about groups. Also this list is in no particular order because I DO NOT BELIEVE IN RANKING RAPPERS ANYMORE. There are too many great rappers to just say one is the G.O.A.T. in my opinion.

great list, can't argue with any of your choices. az is one of my top 5 mc's lyrically but i understand why he aint in alot of top 5 or 10 lists out there.
